Does what it supposed to. You just need to understand what it is.
It is a form of glutaraldehyde. It is toxic to humans in large amounts, and you must be careful about not getting it in your eyes etc. Its use is very controversial, as some believe it kills inverts, though many others say it doesn't. Plants can, in fact, use it as they would carbon for growth. It is an effective algicide. As a side note, I can confirm that it kills lawns. I poured a 5 gallon bucket of tank water with glutaraldehyde in it on my lawn and killed a patch. But like I said, if you know what it is and dose it appropriately, it does do what Seachem claims it does.

Good as an algeacide
Not even close to the same results as a gas co2 dosing system. It foes work well as an algeacide.

Use with caution: works great for algae control
If you're using for algae control do not expect for this to be an overnight miracle. When used as part of a restorative regimen it will aide in curbing staghorn and string algae in the aquarium, especially on your plants. This is not a replacement for a CO2 injection system. If you have sensitive livestock such as caradina shrimp please monitor your mineral levels: there may be some water changes which require you to replace with RODI/ distilled water to keep parameters acceptable with this product.

Worked like a charm!
I honestly only purchased this since I had some blackboard algae growing in my tank and I read that this will kill it when applied directly. I pulled out the plant the algae was growing on, used a paintbrush to add the correct amount for my tank size, and applied it directly on the algae. It was like magic, in 48 hours all the blackboard algae was gone and my plant looked healthier than it ever had before!

Bottle came opened
When i first opened the package i noticed the bottle looked dirty, it had a sticky residue on the outside and smelled kinda bad. when I opened it the safety seal just lifted up, it wasn't sealed at all which leaked in the packaging.

Helps a bit
Seems to work. Plants are bit more lush in just a few days. But doesn't seem to be a great biocide for BBA, which is why I bought this - from all the hype about it on forums, etc. Unless, I have to overdose by a great amount, which I won't dare to risk with all the fish I have in my tank. It seems a bit pricey for a Co2/carbon alternative. I found other brands much cheaper though.

Good product, use carefully
This works well for planted tanks, but it's an algaecide, not a "carbon supplement". Be careful with dosage, use small amounts or it can melt some plants and bother sensitive fish and shrimp.
