nichijou 10

Nichijou is without a doubt my favorite piece of entertainment of all time. Volume 10 being the last volume of Arawi's epitome of a surrealist comedy series, Keiichi takes us out with a bang (or rather, the click of a camera). In addition to new content, the volume flawlessly amalgamates what the series has had to offer in the past and ramps it up several notches, varying from spontaneous, fast paced gags to page-spanning jokes that'll both keep your eyes glued onto each hectic panel. Arguably one of, if not the most lively book in the series, Volume 10 provides constant changes in tone which perfectly compliment the adrenalized humor. But it's not entirely jokes and joy; Nichijou 10 concludes a rather somber premise (one that Arawi still makes hilarious to an extent) first presented in Volume 9 that develops on the main cast. I could go on and on about this manga, but my praise does not nearly amount to the experience of reading it for yourself. The only downside is that once you finish, it's back to your Ordinary Life.

Like many, I started off with the anime. I watched through it with my girlfriend and it was basically her first real entry into anime. We both fell in love with it and we had a priceless time watching it. We had tried finding other shows like it, and even the recommendations online couldn't cut it.That's when I thought to gift her a complete set of the manga from where the anime ended. She absolutely loved it. If you watched the anime, know that the manga has more than what you get in that one season. Give each volume a look.

A beautiful ending to an absurd series. If you like comedy, whacky stories, and adorable art, then this is a perfect series to pick up.

The last volume of a wonderful manga series. Sad to see it end but it was a great ride.
