Ventafish VFJCD16 J&Circle Dehooker

This device is quite large and for a lot of fish it is difficult to get the whole business end inside the mouth of the fish. Once you have figured out how it is intended to work, it is quite effective, although it cannot be used on jig heads or any rig which;prevents you from sliding the hook down the line and onto the hook.

Simple, but very effective. Grab the line with the tool hook over it, slide it down to the fish while keeping the line tight, slide it over the hook, and one or two shakes and the fish is off. You don't come near the fish. If you've ever been stuck by a saltwater catfish, you can really appreciate this tool.

Trying to use but not figuring out the trick to the tool will keep trying I am sure it will work out well with practice.

The directions show the S hook drawn in a complete opposite orientation to the real item, making the instructions unintelligible. I am going to have to figure it out as I am using it. I do like the length.

I bought this to replace one my "buddy" dropped over board. Watch the video before trying to use it. The point here is you can dehook your fish without laying hands (or gloves) on it. This preserves the oil on their skin. I bought two now ... what more can I say.

Works well. Takes a little time to get used to the tool. Works good on catfish

Amazing results!!I use this to help get bait off of my sabiki rig, no more skinny hands and It's gets this bait fish off the hook fast!!!!
