Buy once, Cry once... I keep buying the high end every few years.
I've had different models of Surefire lights for different purposes over the years. My department at the time issued the now discontinued 6PX Defender (320 Lumen model), I later got the G2X Pro (320 Lumen model with 15 Lumen low) which became my EDC light for the next 5yrs. Eventually I got the G2X Pro (600 lumen model with 15 lumen low), while it's a superb light, I didn't much care for the size or carry methods anymore. Enter, the EDCL2-T which has been in my pocket or my NutSac bag for the last 2yrs. The size still drives me bonkers some days, but the value is worth the slight annoyance. I get ridiculously bright lights because I actually use them in high mode most of the time, and the low output is used for close in tasks. I run my EDCL2-T on Surefire approved rechargeable cells so I still get the advertised runtime, and overall output. That brings up my only major gripe, which is the 1hr full power run time. I suppose to some this may be a long time, but I do use my lights EVERY SINGLE NIGHT and often for extended periods. This means I'm sticking batteries into the charger a LOT, but I'm still not giving up the light. The gas pedal switch is a love it or hate it situation. I personally LOVE it, and wish all my lights had this setup; that said I am VERY proficient at doing the rapid tap to switch modes as I have used Surefire for more than 8yrs now. The clip admittedly feels somewhat flimsy, but in actual use it has proved to be incredibly durable. I had to crimp it down a couple times after catching it on a seat belt or vehicle seat cover. It doesn't feel like it's going to snap off anytime soon, but I did contact Surefire and order a couple extras. I was prepared to pay whatever they wanted, but they sent them over free of charge. While it can be used as a head lamp type function on a ball cap, keep in mind that the weight is quite significant at the end of your hat. Personally I find it works better to clip on my shoulder straps of work cloths. The pros say "buy once, cry once" the problem is I keep buying the high end stuff! None of my Surefire lights is anywhere close to failing, they've just been re-purposed; glove box of my wife's car, one in my dash console of the work 18 wheeler, another next to the door at home for walking the dog, etc... Whether I'm working or wearing a suit, the EDCL2-T is what I slip into my pocket leaving the house.

It's bright
A banger just like everything else Surefire makes. Top notch quality! Haven't used it long enough to comment ok battery life just yet. Is it bright? You bet ya! Does it easily fit in a jean pocket? Also yes. The lanyard makes a great little quick deploy handle when stowed in your pocket.

Awesome light!
One of the best lights that money can buy. Eat your heart out, Streamlight and Olight. The aluminum bodies are made in USA, the lights are assembled in the USA. Batteries made in USA. I don’t think the electrical components are manufactured in USA, ie LED, circuit board, etc.

Definitely my favorite brand
Ok so I have owned many SureFire lights. Especially on deployment. I saw this light on a YouTube channel and was instantly sold. So far I love it. Feels really good in the hands. Even conceal in my shorts with no problem. By the way I have big hands. If you’re not used to the tail switch then you’re probably not going to like it. I saw that was one of the biggest complaints. Along with the battery. If you have owned any SureFire you know the battery does not last. So me having common sense you just upgrade to the rechargeable ones. But the light is bright as it should be. Definitely recommend this light.

Great EDC light!
The only lights I buy are Surefire. They are tougher than an old Nokia. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about the twist for constant on feature but it turns out to work really well. The light itself is a little long for putting in a jacket pocket or pant pocket. All things I am more than able to deal with considering the amount of light that comes out of this thing. I wanted something that could push out across a large car dealership, with a low setting for small tasks and also to push an aggressors vision past the photonic barrier. All jobs it does exceedingly well. Like all Surefire products, it’s a bit spendy but it is worth every penny. Buy a block or two of batteries while you’re here because like all high performance machines, she’s thirsty and needs premium fuel but it will never let you down.

Great light just one minor flaw
So I have spent 6 months with this light and overall I am very happy with the switch that I made from Olight. The reason for the switch I was that I wanted an American made light and this fit the bill. I love the knurled body, the bezel is great for protection of the lens and good for striking if you need that while not being to sharp in the pocket. The weight is good and can be attached to a baseball cap, but it definitely borders that line between just right and too heavy for that application. The reason I gave it 4 stars is strictly because of my favorite and least favorite part of this flashlight... the two mode gas light switch. If I need the full lumens I love that I can get that in one movement. This has come in handy on walks with the dogs, trying to get someone’s attention, and general stuff like that. The medium mode is great for night stuff but doesn’t cut through the ambient light all that great and sometimes seems to be too little light for certain needs. In the past week I have been asked if my light is going dead because it doesn’t have enough oomph for the role that I am trying to use it for but I can’t harness the power of the sun because the batteries won’t last long enough. With this being said it’s a great light and for 90% of the tasks you need it for it’s ready for. 12 month update: I still like the light a ton and it hasn’t left my pocket since I purchased it, but I do still find myself encountering the same problems as before. If I hand it to anyone I have to turn it on low because they will always blast the 1200 and kill my batteries in a heartbeat! It has taught me control on my usage. If I can get away with the 5 lumens then I do, I just kinda hate that I have to make that sacrifice. The biggest benefit however is the muscle memory and the speed you get. I had an incident where I had to pull in out and blast the 1200 to identify what was barreling towards me in an alleyway. Worked like a charm!

Build quality is garbage.
Ran this for about a month and it quit on me. For the price, I'd give this 0 stars.
