I've legitimately never ran to my PC to write a review faster. Having upgraded from the 49 Odyssey to the 57 Odyssey, the Vivo heavy duty arm I had previously been using was absolutely fine for the 49, but made the 57 sag over the period of a week or so no matter how much I tightened it while level. Got the 57 off the Vivo arm, removed the Vivo arm, got the ergotron arm installed, and I'm never looking back. Like many others have said, this simply IS the GO-TO heavy duty monitor arm for the Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo 57 super ultra wide. Got this for my new Samsung G9 57" and I noticed there is a large gap between the arm and the base which looks very unstable. I reached out to Ergotron support, got one email back saying they're sharing this with their technical team and will get back to me. It has been a week and they haven't gotten back to me. Even worse they haven't responded to any of my other emails asking for updates. My guess is they are trying to delay me until my Amazon return window runs out. I'm going to return this and buy a Magnus arm. Looks much better and beefier and it's even cheaper!

It's very strong and looks good. It easily holds my 35lb 49" curved monitor. I'm not sure it's worth the extra money but it is good quality and looks good too

Be sure to read the instructions during setup, get a friend to help if possible. It's a solid monitor arm when paired with a reinforcement plate for your desk. Problem is, it's too solid. The VHD pivot features a VESA plate on the front that screws into the monitor's own VESA bracket. You then slide the pivot onto the arm to lock it in place. It's supposed to be reinforced by two screws from the bottom. On my arm, the screws weren't necessary. Once mounted, the pivot "welded" to the arm and could not be lifted off again. I spent part of two days trying to get this thing unstuck and finally had to do the one thing you should never do: unscrew the monitor from the pivot while mounted with the help of multiple friends. This is dangerous, and the arm will forcefully spring to maximum height--even if maximally de-tensioned. If it doesn't do so immediately, it's stuck. Tap it with a plastic mallet and watch how fast it springs up. This emergency dismount process can damage your monitor and the arm. I think I may have received a defective pivot, given how others have described being able to unstick their monitor using a gentle tap of a mallet on the pivot. The product is new, and chances are some people will receive a defective unit. If you don't, congratulations. If you do, you're going to have a bad day.

I purchased the ergotron hx vhd, it came out to 485.14. I have the samsung neo 57 inch G9, 2024 version. I have the flexispot L shaped desk pro. This is the only monitor desk mount that works. No other monitor mount worked for me. The only mount I didnt try was the Secretlab Magnust Monitor Mount (Heavy Duty Edition) . The ultra arm brand and those similar cheaper brands did not work at all. My monitor would tilt downward. The mount is stable, holds the screen straight. I wish it would extend out a little more but I'm sure it has to be like this because of the weight distribution. If you have the same monitor as me then dont waste your time on other mounts.

If you're like me and are looking at the HX VHD and thinking.. well, I don't need this today but likely will in the future and it DOES has all black hardware.. think again. VHD wasn't very important today but after a ton of effort making sure all my hardware was all black.. this thing showed up with silver hardware. I'm not sure why they would put pictures that do not match the item. Not important to you? Fine, but it is to me. Really like the look of the HX series otherwise, but Simple Human beats them in nearly all reviews for function. AND IS ALL BLACK - So I bought that instead.

Eins vorweg, ja der ist absolut nicht günstig. Aber wie heißt es, kaufste billig, kaufste 2x. Ich hab jetzt 2 sogenannte "Heavy Duty" Monitorarme gekauft, alle haben im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes nicht "gehalten" was sie versprachen. Ich hab dem Samsung 57 Zoll da dran und was soll ich sagen. Es hält. Er lässt sich in alle Richtungen gut einstellen, ich kann die ganzen Rezessionen nicht nachvollziehen die negativ bewerten. Wenn ihr es nicht schafft so einen Arm einzustellen, lasst den Originalarm dran. Das Produkt ist wertig, robust und sieht gut aus. Was mir nicht so gefällt ist diese Kabelklettverlegung am 1ten Teil des Armes. Ansonsten bin ich sehr zufrieden. Man kann sowohl am Tisch klemmen oder durch ein 10mm Loch auch durch die Platte des Tisches befestigen. Fazit: wer einen vernünftigen Monitorarm kaufen will, das isser.

Werkt goed en houdt de monitor perfect stabiel. Geen 5 sterren door één nadeel: door de rechthoekige vorm van het bovenste deel waar de monitor aan vastzit is het niet mogelijk om de monitor verder naar achteren te duwen. De bovenste arm kan maximaal tot recht boven de achterkant van het bureau komen; niet verder naar achteren dus. Ik had dat graag wel gewild, omdat ik achter mijn bureau loze ruimte heb en de monitor daar in had willen duwen voor meer afstand.

En eerlijk: dit is veruit de beste investering die je kunt doen voor zo’n ultrawide monster. Stabiliteit en draagkracht: absolute topklasse De Neo G9 57” is enorm breed én zwaar, en toch blijft deze arm verrassend stabiel. Geen trillingen tijdens het typen, geen doorbuiging na enkele dagen, en vooral: de arm blijft exact staan waar je hem plaatst. Het verschil met goedkopere armen is werkelijk gigantisch, dit is professioneel niveau. Vloeiende bewegingen Ondanks het gewicht beweegt de arm soepel: hoogte, tilt en diepteaanpassing voelen strak en gecontroleerd aan. De VHD-versie is duidelijk bedoeld voor extreme setups, en dat merk je in alles. Bouwkwaliteit die vertrouwen geeft Het geheel voelt industrieel stevig aan: dik metaal, degelijke scharnieren, en een basis die ontworpen lijkt voor hardware die eigenlijk op statieven zou moeten staan. Zelfs na lange sessies of meerdere verstellingen blijft de arm perfect in balans. Kabelmanagement Ergotron heeft hier duidelijkk niet bezuinigd. De kabels verdwijnen netjes in de arm, waardoor zelfs zo’n gigantisch scherm er netjes en georganiseerd uitziet. Conclusie Als je een 57” Odyssey Neo G9 gebruikt, dan is dit de monitorarm die je nodig hebt. Punt. Er is géén alternatief, alles daaronder is een compromis. De prijs ligt duidelijk hoger dan veel alternatieven, maar in ruil krijg je volledige gemoedsrust, stabiliteit en een premium ervaring die elk detail van zo’n high-end monitor ondersteunt. Eindoordeel: 10/10, ongeëvenaarde stabiliteit en kwaliteit. Absoluut de winnaar voor super-ultrawide gaming en professionele setups.
