I wanted to love this dashcam so much. I really did.It's not intuitive to set up. There's no option to plug in via USB. And it gets really warm, I imagine it'll overheat in the summer.Hardware aside, the critical part of this cam's failure is the software. The app's design is abysmal. "Firmware settings" is the name of the place to adjust your settings for picture quality and recording length. The file naming makes no sense. It's almost impossible to tell what are videos from impacts or driving. The date and time in the file name is so smashed together that it is horrible to read.Also you have to connect to the camera's wifi in order to do anything. Copy videos, look in the camera's pov, etc. It's obnoxious.On top of everything, don't waste your time with the battery if you're going to plug the battery in via cigarette lighter. It can't support the power demands of both cameras. Plus the battery is hit or miss on charging. I drive an hour straight twice a day, 5 days a week, yet it hardly charges. Such garbage.

This product is great, but the instructions suck... also, it took me and my brother over an hour to figure out why the Power Magic Pro wasn't working. We located the correct fuses, checked them with a multi-meter and everything. Still, nothing. Turned out, the grounding screw in my car wasn't good. We had to find another one. Also, you have to charge the Power Magic Pro a little bit to get it going. I recommend turning on the engine to jump start it and then try to see if it works in parking mode when you turn the car off. Other than that, this product is awesome!The images are extremely clear. The cloud feature to be able to live stream is awesome! I highly recommend this product!

Love the size, design and construction of the 900S. It was surprisingly easy to install both front and rear and wire the two cables under the edge of the ceiling liner and along the pillars. Video quality is top notch, enough to make out street signs and license plates, even in low light. I like the automated voice prompts, “power down”, “starting normal recording” and so on. Camera powers up relatively quickly after turning the car on. Only issue I ran into was attempting to hardware the power magic box thing to enable parking mode. Apparently my S4 is very picky about which switched and permanent fuses I can piggy back on. I eventually took it to a local shop and they wired it up no problem. The other issue I have is with the app (iOS) and the ways to retrieve the footage from the camera. Removing the teeny micro SD is too cumbersome, and the camera has no way of auto uploading footage when it connects to my home WiFi. However, these are small compromises for the reassurance that my car has 24hr surveillance. Two thumbs up for the BlackVue 900S!

INSTALL: Extremely easy. I decided to go the cigarette lighter option and followed the instructions (rear cable tucked away to the left, power cord tucked away to the right) and it was simple. They give you plenty of cable and I had quite a bit left over- no worries- tucked it away and you can't see any of the cables. Mounted both cameras, used the view on the app to adjust them slightly and it works great.APP: So how the whole concept works is as follows- the dash cam records on the internal memory card inside the dash cam. If you need to grab a video, you connect to the WIFI of the dashcam, go into WIFI on the app and download that video to your phone. You can set it up for (N) normal mode, (E) event mode (someone bumps into car, etc), (P) for parking mode and (M) for manual recording and filter thru the videos that way.Great dashcam. Very happy with it.

This is my second BlackVue camera and my intention is to install this product in all our vehicles. The picture quality is very good and clear. I've had no problem with connecting WIFI and the SD card has proven to be reliable also. Even the parking mode works perfectly if there is any questionable contact with our vehicle when parked. I haven't experience any overheating as it does sit in Maryland sweltering hot temperature. I would highly recommend this product to others who is seeking a reliable camera that captures all and offers some protection when it comes to insurance issues. Just remember to set the camera to private mode as I learned by exploring others can peek on you if this option is open to public view.

2 weeks in use so far the camera is working very well. A course I am trying to increase the volume a point higher. Also integrating my cell phone with cam, something that I am not very good at. But will work with it. Of all the cams I have researched, this I consider the best. Have 3 SD chips @ Blackvue 64GB because I want to review the recordings every3 days. Furthermore to insure that are any problems with them. It's just my way of have 'back-up'. I had camera intalled by Best Buy ($55.00) very professional idone1 hour. I didn't want to error by mistake on wiring. Age 81.

I've been using it for a few months now and I like it, but it has a couple of quirks.1) After you start the car, it takes a few seconds before hearing, "Now starting normal recording."2) Downloading files to your cellphone is not exactly fast.3) If you have a VPN on your cellphone, turn it off before trying to connect to the camera.The Windows software is AWESOME and is great for viewing recordings.

Read a few poor reviews on amazon for this. For those who don’t read the instructions and understand how the software functions they may find this a poor product. At first glance the software is undeveloped until you understand it and know where to go. This is the best system on the market. Paired with a blackvue battery it’s awesome for parking protection and won’t drain your car battery. Love this product.
