Great
This trap is 200% humane! I say this because I've seen other traps on the market that advertise themselves to be 100% humane and shoppers have shown that those other ones are absolutely not the case with those designs using a spring that snaps the door shut behind the mouse and very possibly getting the tail off of them. I've looked at those and they offer very little space and below minimum openings for air holes. This trap lets the mouse walk a ways into the tunnel and then activate the lever to fall back and then the door shuts behind the mouse. You can try to understand it with the pictures I provided.-The one thing bad about this trap is that it is impossible to open the bait door to easily place bait there. It seems overly complex, and the instructions are just a tiny, square, piece of paper that maybe oversimplifies it. I don't see why they decided to make it as difficult as they did. I'm sure they could have made it a ton easier and still be secure. Still, it's the best trap I've seen for fitting a trap in a small space.I've provided pictures to help you judge the size of this without needing to pull out a ruler. My measurement devices are varying flavors of Mtn Dew.

Large deep trap, mice don't freak out in it.
Deep trap, 15 inch long, so there is plenty of length for the mouse to go to the bait end and set off the door tripping platform without getting their tail caught. The door is a gravity dropped so there are no springs to deal with. Plenty of air holes and big enough so the mouse is not stress out if you have to wait a day to check it. Only for one mouse at a time and probably to small for a rat unless a small one. If I need to transfer a mouse from a small cage to a lager one with out fear of getting bit, I just bait it again, place it in the small cage and the mouse goes in again in about 2 minutes. Mice aren't to smart it seems.. Only issue is the baiting end. It is held in place by 2 squeeze tabs on the sides and a fixed locking tab on the top which makes it difficult to open. I ground off that tab and now opens quite easily. Isn't really isn't necessary as the end cap is very secure without it. Bought 2 and the garage was clear of the 5 mice I was trying to trap in 2 days.

They fixed it! Now just make cleaning it easier.
I bought an earlier version of this that didn't have the metal band at the entrance and mice managed to chew through that rendering the trap useless. This works fine for the field mice that find their way into my kitchen, my only negative is cleaning it. I've taken to soaking it in hot water to get all the droppings out, one or two inevitably end up under the trap door mechanism and it's painstaking trying to clean those. I'm a huge fan of capture and release but I can see why some people wouldn't want to have to deal with the cleaning and go directly to kill traps.

did catch a mouse with this trap
editing... sometimes the mouse took bait without triggering trap.I did catch a mouse with this trap and released it successfully.I have not used it long enough for a definite opinion. The door in the food side is a bit awkward to open. But it is convenient that there is a separate food door.Adding: this trap continues to work well. I ordered two more. The mice seem much calmer than in the wire traps. This trap is more convenient to carry. It is easier to set the trap and to release the mouse than with the wire traps. Also if a mouse is in the wire trap waiting to be released it often makes a click-click noise running back and forth. These traps are quiet. I have both kinds and I’m starting to prefer these.

Works amazing! Completely humane!
This Mouse trap seriously works at catching mice! We've only had it a few days and have already caught 10, most of which, were pregnant females... We put it in a path that we knew they were running in, and it worked.. We put in peanut butter, and a slice of banana.. We noticed they kept tearing into our bananas so we thought, "What the heck!".. This trap is nowhere near big enough to catch a Gopher, or even an adult rat... But a small rat and mice, is perfect!

Good long length, very humane
When I first got my four traps, one was defected and I had to send it back. However, the traps work great. The long length ensures that the mouse's tail does not get snapped and the spring is very sensitive. I purchased four and have caught five mice already. Make sure you release them in a wooded area away from any homes. The only complain I have is that the back door is hard to open. You have to squeeze the sides to be able to pull out the door at the end to leave the food. Once you get a hang of it, it works great.

Excelent
It took me a little while to figure out how it all works because when I went to take off the part in the back part of the floor came out as well but then I figured it all out. I used it to catch a small rat that escaped from one of my cages. After I set it up I went to run an errand and when I came back 1 hour later, the trap had caught the rat, and now she's back in her cage safe and sound.

Actually Works!
just place some peanuts in the trap, and set it open, and the mouse gets trapped, so you can release harmlessly into a new location. Those mice are so darn fast, impossible to catch, but this trap locks them in with the bait, and is very humane way to catch and release in a wooded area. Love the trap, I full endorse this thing!
