Rosewill 2U Server Chassis Rackmount Case, 4X 3.5 Bays, 2X 2.5 Devices, Micro-ATX Compatible, 2X 80mm PMW Fans, 2X USB 3.0 - RSV-Z2800U

I bought this server case because I am building a new server, wanted rack mount, but needed more than 1U and less than 4U. This unit is well designed, well made and I quite love it. I found the supplied fans quiet. My server needs are different from some in that I am using one m.2 SDD (on the motherboard) so removed the 3.5in cages. You can't remove the 5.5in cage or you lose the front bay cover, so I left that in place. It has all the needed connections and the EVGA 500W power supply fits perfectly. I quite like the motherboard mounting lugs as well. Very nice.

This is a very nice box with sufficient room inside but it is also fairly compact so it fits in a shallower rack. It is well done, robust, thick metal, comes with all needed hardware.

Bloody amazing. I am yet to be disappointed by a rosewill product. They make cheap, quality items. This case fits standard atx, will house most micro atx pcs, and the stock cpu and cooler for such cpus as the amd a8-9600 which is great for a rackmount studio machine. I recommend this above any high end case. Don't worry about the aesthetics. Its a solid case that will do everything you need. Also holds 4 hard drives and has 3 decent quality fans, and it has support for ANY atx psu!

My Rosewill 4U chassis arrived with shipping damage to the drive cage and side panel. I contacted support, provided photos, and they offered a free return. Since the damage was repairable with basic tools, I asked about partial compensation instead. They offered 20% refund, which I accepted. I was able to straighten the brackets and fix the dent myself, and now the chassis works perfectly. Rosewill handled this professionally, and the chassis itself is solid once repaired. Recommendation: If you're handy and get a damaged unit, they're reasonable about compensation. Their cases are great for homelab builds.

I already bought 4 cases from Rosewill. I bought in past the R4000u, L4500, Z2700 and the L4412. Rosewill made great product. The RSV-R4200 is great. I got enough room for an ATX motherboard and multiple HDD.
