Video Review of the Funlux 4 Camera NVR System
The media could not be loaded. I decided to make a brief video showing the un-boxing and personal feel for the product. I've had some experience with the camera system before and the setup is extremely easy. The user can use the Zsight Smart Phone app to sync and view the cameras from anywhere. I'm just waiting for some warmer weather before I install them on the exterior of my house for a little added comfort. I bench tested the system and each camera has a decent response rate to the IR sensor (tested by light switch) the manufacture claims 65 feet of visibility at night but I would find that difficult to achieve. One thing to note is that you can change the quality of the streaming video either live on a monitor or remotely to restrict data usage. I found this to be a benefit if I want to check and determine if the garage door is down without using mass amounts of cellular data. You can also setup the NVR to record in a few different ways. I'll set mine up to record on motion and save on HD space although it is first in first out basis. To minimize false alarms you also have a limited screen selection to tweak your motion detection. For example if your camera views part of the street where cars will drive by then its not likely that you want to capture everything, instead you can select sections of the screen that you wish to record if motion is detected.Overall great product for the price, easy install, and easy configuration. The only part that is yet to be determined is the life of the cameras in an outdoor setting. Although the product is backed by a 2 year warranty.

Good Value. Customized the setup for longer distance.
I have had this system for about a month now. Everything was setup and tested in my office before it was placed outside. My goal was to have 2 of the cameras about 600 feet from the NVR. Note: Funlux is also Zmodo, as stated in earlier reviews by some dedicated Amazon buyers. These cameras use 19.5 VDC that is provided by the NVR over the included CAT5 cable. Zmodo cables only use 2 pairs (4 wires). I elected to run CAT6 cables, wired for the 568B configuration without any problem. To get the distance, the use of PoE Injectors, Splitters and Switches were unsuccessful. They would not supply the 19.5 VDC that Zmodo uses. I decided to go another route for my configuration of this system. My NVR unit is mounted outside in a new "electrical panel" box. This was done by running PVC conduit for the cables. I also had AC power for the NVR power converter handy after doing this. To make it easier to understand, the NVR unit is about halfway between my furthest camera and my computer setup. The cameras are also mounted in their own boxes that I made to protect them from the elements. The weather`proof cameras look like they could handle the rain, but now they are more hidden. The connectors were wrapped with "coax seal" as an extra step, as Zmodo recommended. I ended painting everything that was exposed with Krylon Ultra Flat Olive Green spray paint. My wife approves of the looks now! Software - Get the Blue Iris software ($60) and the App ($10) if you can use it. Much more practical for viewing away from home. From Zmodo, download their Zviewer software for your PC, along with the IPC Search program to help setup your network. I also have used a "port forwarding" tool for my router, with the options for special domain names. The Zmodo App (Zsight) does not work with my iPads, and even on my iPhones, it is lacks the usefulness that Blue Iris's App has. In Summary, this purchase was well worth the price. If your cameras are going to be placed over 200 feet from the NVR, invest in CAT6 cables. Thank you to all the Reviewers (especially Justin) on these cameras. If you have not read them all, there is a lot of information to learn from them. Yes, I would buy this setup again ... now that I have all the conduits and cables installed! Aloha, Bill.

Didn't work for me
Cameras were ok for day time but the night vision was terrible. The biggest complaint was the software it is horrible. You can't view the cameras on your PC with out typing in a new IP address every time for the HMI and that takes another program to run that tells you what the up address is now for the HMI. Also the HMI doesn't run well, if at all with Internet Explorer 11. Also one of the cameras would stay in night vision mode all the time. Some reviewer's would say download a different program to run it but that could cost additional money. Why would you buy something that doesn't do what it advertises. I sent the system back after a week of trying to get to work right. I put up all the cameras etc and really tried it just wasn't working. I purchased the Uniden G755 system which does what I need. The cameras are not a high of a resolution but they get the job done. I think that the Funlux would be a great system if the HMI or user interface was up to par but it is not. Hope this helps.

It her than that very happy with this purchase
This camera system has worked very well for us. The only issues we have noticed is once in a while our mobile app stops working and we can't view our cameras from our side our own network. When this happens if you log into the security system and reboot it the ability to view the cams remotely comes back. A minor detail but something to be aware of. It her than that very happy with this purchase.
