Has improved baby's sleep
I went into this appropriately skeptical, but so far I like it and our baby likes it.So our background: Baby was sleeping 7 hour stretches starting at 7 weeks, while swaddled and in the Rock n Play (yes, I know Rock n Play is not technically safe for sleep.) He started to go through the 4 month sleep regression and to bust out of the swaddle and to try and roll over all around the same time. So we had to try and get him out of the swaddle and into his crib. This sleep suit wound up being a huge help. I tried swaddling him in the crib and he was waking up multiple times a night because he got his arms free. We tried the swaddle up 50/50 and it was just encouraging him to wiggle and squirm more, so he couldn't fall asleep. The last two nights we've used this sleep suit. We've done a warm bath, a little baby massage, clean diaper, then zipped him into the sleep suit before he does his last feed of the night. As soon as I zip him into it, he grins up at me. He falls asleep easily, on his own in the crib. We can see him wiggle some on the monitor, but instead of waking himself up the way he was, he falls back asleep on his own. He's sleeping good 4-5 hour stretches, which is awesome considering he now has a dreaded daycare cold and is teething. He feels much better and I'm getting enough sleep to be a functional human.I'll note that I had gone with this over the Merlin for a few reasons. I'd seen the reviews that Merlin might cause torticollis and flat head. Our baby moves his head back and forth on each side on his own and does move in this sleep suit, so we were less concerned about that. I was more concerned about the possibility of over heating and also the fact that the suit seemed very rigid and confining. This sleep suit is more like the baby being wrapped in a comforter. It doesn't restrict his movement too much and I think gives him the sense of being snuggled that he was craving. He can and does still move around and re-position himself. We keep our house 72 degrees for sleep and he has not over heated in it. In fact, we have to put socks on him because his feet get cold. Its also much cuter than the Merlin. We have the mint with the chevron. It is a little big for our guy, who is 4 months. The neck is a little wide for him and we haven't unzipped the vents yet, but I also haven't felt the need to.Overall I would definitely recommend this. I think our baby is sleeping better because he feels cozy and comforted. I don't have the same concerns I had with the Merlin and I'm happy we chose this.

YES, SLEEP!
I only have praise for this awesome sleep suit. I bought it with skepticism, not thinking it would really be a silver bullet, but my 4-month old daughter has really taken to it. She hated being swaddled because she really wanted to move her arms. This allows full arm and leg movement, it just takes a little bit of effort. That makes it PERFECT for sleeping in. She can still rub her face or suck her fingers (soothing to her), she just has to do LESS of it to finally fall asleep. The suit is stuffed with some kind of poly fill, similar to a comforter. It IS warm, so I'm really, really glad it has the zippered mesh panels on the side. I keep them open all the time. She sleeps with just a onesie underneath the suit and she never has woken up sweaty (and she does sweat easily...whenever I take her out of her carseat she is always very, very sweaty, even in short sleeves). She is just starting to roll from back to tummy, but hasn't done it in her sleep yet. When that happens I'll re-evaluate what I think of the suit, but for now it's working really well for us. It helps her fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer. A few days ago she spat up all over it so I had to wash it overnight. She slept in a regular sleep sack that night, and was up every two or three hours needing to be soothed. That just is NOT the case with this sleepsuit! When she is wearing it, she typically falls asleep and stays asleep. Occasionally she still wakes up in the middle of the night for a bottle, but will fall back to sleep IMMEDIATELY and sleep again until morning. It's like a twenty minute disruption in sleep instead of an hours-long process of crying, drinking, soothing, crying some more, then mummy falling asleep on the couch while baby plays in the crib at 3am. Sleep is possible, my friends!

Expensive but works
We've been using this for about a month, baby is almost 5 months old. Our daughter went through the sleep regression and was hard to put down for naps. We were bouncing her for 15-30 minutes each time and she only slept for 40 minutes each time. We decided to do some gentle sleep training and switch her from her swaddle to the suit. We noticed immediate improvement with the suit. She likes being able to move and bring her hands to her face. The only negative is that it seems to continue shrinking with every wash (once a week) despite following directions. We plan on taking her out of it before 7 months but I don't see how it would fit up to 9 months. She's small for her age too. I like the side vents but we can't use PJs with it because it's pretty warm. It would be easier in the winter when the house is 5 degrees colder. I wish it was cheaper so that I could buy a second one to make washing easier but I don't feel like spending a ton on another one when it's only being used for a couple months. Overall it's a great idea and I'm glad we tried it.

So great
I am a believer! This is making the transition out of the swaddle so easy. I wish I'd tried this sooner! My 4.5 month old loved being swaddled and when I tried to put him in sleep sacks, he really wasn't happy about it. But this he immediately loved. He feels very comfy and secure. The first time we used it, he put himself to sleep in it for an afternoon nap, and slept for two hours. When it was in the dryer at bedtime I swaddled him with arms out and he went down fine, but woke up an hour later crying. Put him back in this thing... Before I was even finished buttoning him in he had calmed down and fallen back asleep! We are all loving this. Also, it's summer here and we have no AC- I open the side vents, put him in a onesie, and point a light fan towards him and he is fine.
