Rebel Heart is everything I wanted and needed in the conclusion to a duet.
Where do I even begin? Rebel Heart is everything I wanted and needed in the conclusion to a duet. It starts off immediately where Rebel Heir ends and takes off running."Life shouldn't be about constantly trying to prove that we're safe from getting hurt. Life should be about living with uncertainty while we watch beautiful sunsets with the people we love.I wasn't sure what to expect in this one. How are they going to play out this storyline? Will Rush stay with Gia? Will Gia flee? Whatever happens, you can be sure I'm not spoiling this goodness for you."Gia—My beautiful Gia. I loved her more than I thought I could handle."All I will say is that Rebel Heart is deliciously angsty as only Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland can do. They built such a fantastic story into this steamy duet and I could not put this book down. Seriously. It usually takes me at least two days to read a book of this length. I read Rebel Heart between sun up and sun down. Ward and Keeland keep us on our toes and leave us with a super sweet ending that I couldn't have been happier with.

Adored book 2, a great turnaround from Rebel Heir
Rebel Heart (Rush Series Duet #2) by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward5 stars!!!“You have to figure out whether your love for Gia is stronger than your hate for your brother.”OMG, I started this book as soon as it downloaded at midnight and read it all the way through without coming up for air, apart from grabbing a few Kleenex. As you may know, I didn’t love, love, love Rebel Heir, but I was still anxious for this one, because if anyone could turn me around, it was these two. Boy, did these two turn me around, not only that, inside out as well. This book was emotional, incredibly emotional and it was absolute perfection. Boy, have I cried a river over this one.“…And it’s normal to have doubts, because there is always uncertainty in life. We live every day knowing that there’s a possibility we could die. Yet, we get up every day and do what we need to do anyway. Life shouldn’t be about constantly trying to prove that we’re safe from getting hurt. Life should be about living with uncertainty while we watch beautiful sunsets with the people we love.”Don’t get me wrong, nothing bad happens, seriously, but what these two go through to get what they truly deserved tugged at every single heart string and some. I adored Rush with a passion in this book and was so taken with how responsible he was, how he weighed up everything and never took his decisions lightly. He was a man through and through, with a huge heart of gold, with a wise head on his shoulders and had learned from the mistakes that his father had made with him.“Don’t let eighteen years pass before you stop running, Rush.”Gia was her usual unfiltered self and I adored this about her. Gia was the perfect woman for Rush, she took no crap and said what was on her mind. It was this raw honesty between them that gives them the perfect, solid foundation to build their future on. I adored Gia’s relationship with her dad and the scenes between these two were just as emotional as those with Rush. Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward really dug deep in this book and pulled out one hell of an emotional arsenal and they certainly did a doozy on my heart.I was so glad that this book wasn’t predictable, they turned what for me, was a predictable first book into the unexpected and I lapped up every single word. I highlighted so much in this book, not just sentences, but huge paragraphs as my heart was fit to burst with what I was reading. It was no easy journey for either of them and I am glad that Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward kept it real, honest and raw.“There really was no more unfortunately in our story.”Rebel Heart picks up where Rebel Heir left off, thank god, and from the first to last word is fast paced, action packed and full of heart and emotion. This book was the perfect ending for this couple and totally unputdownable. I adore these two writers as both individuals and as a duo and cannot wait to see what comes next.

A bit disappointed with the conclusion, but as a duet still an enjoyable read.
Man, how is it possible to write this review without giving away any spoilers, it's a bit of a tough one especially when it's a duet and the previous ended with a pretty big cliffhanger. But as duets go, that was expected to happen. Lies or well withholding truths is never a good premise for any relationship. You'll be on the edge of your seat as you go through the trials that Rush and Gia will face to finally get their HEA.Rebel Heir had me completely invested in this duet and as soon as that one ended, I was eager to get the conclusion for Rush and Gia. I was so nervous and a bit anxious to see how everything played out between them because honestly, it wasn't looking good at all. I was definitely expecting to get the same kind of feelings I had while reading Rebel Heir and it was bit disappointing when that wasn't the case. Overall. the duet is still a good read and I'm still an epic fan of the awesome writing duo that is Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland. But I found myself rather disappointed with the actions of Rush and Gia.With the major conflict involving Rush's reactions, I think the way he handled it wasn't great and my heart broke for Gia. I was surprised to see something outweigh his love for Gia. And was continuously stringing her along, which I didn't think it was fair to Gia at all. I was pretty frustrated with his character in this one, he needed to look at the bigger picture and figure out what kind of life he wanted with Gia.And the few horrible assumptions that Gia made when it came to Rush was just a bit off-putting for me, a man who was all-hands-on-deck when it came to being the baby's father. Even going the lengths of setting up a nursery in his own home, how could you second guess that? The back and forth between them left me in a bit of a daze. There were some moments in Rebel Heart that didn't quite fit the flow of the story, it took me away from it actually. As a duo, this was an enjoyable read, but Rebel Heart left me a bit at odds and it wasn't anything like it expected it to be.I still love this author duo and fans should definitely give this one a try.

A fantastic and a perfect ending to Rush & Gia’s journey
With Gia now pregnant and Rush vowing to be there for her things are seemingly looking up for Gia , when Rush has an invite to attend a party at his stepbrothers Elliot’s house he sees it a great opportunity to introduce Gia to his father & stepbrother . Things get very tense when Gia sees Elliot and realises he’s non other than her one night stand the one who gave a false name & phone number and also father of her baby . When they’re introduced Elliot pretends not to know her but later he makes it plain that he does remember her . In a total panic Gia realises at some point she’s going to have to tell Rush that his stepbrother is the baby daddy . Sadly Rush finds out before Gia can tell him to say he doesn’t handle the news very well is an understatement . Needing to get away to think to get his head around things and when he gets news of the death a close friend in Texas he takes the opportunity to go to the funeral and get away for a while . One thing for certain is they are both deeply in love with one another but will Rush overcome his insecurities and his past before Gia leaves at the end of the summer . I’ve enjoyed reading about bad boy Rush and sassy Gia so much they’re certainly have been on one rollercoaster journey and the ending in my mind is perfect 😍😍

A great story. These two authors always write a fabulous novel, both individually and collectively. We start the second part of this story, where the first one ended. Gia has just realised her one night stand is Rush’s brother, Elliott. The story unfolds and progresses. There is a conflict of emotions, trust issues and despicable behaviour of the babes natural father and much more. The book flows so well that as the reader you are not aware of time or anything else whilst engulfed in the pages. Rush is such an adorable alpha male, who yes makes mistakes, but is also a remarkable individual. Gia is one very strong minded, humourus lady that fate has dealt a momentous hand. A great story well worth 5 stars.

One sex scene? C’mon ladies...
Yes I loved the how the story took off immediately from book one and enjoyed the leads journey. How ever, there was too much inner monologue and only ONE sex scene. This left me disappointed. With these authors, they never usually disappoint but I felt a little short changed after this, hence the four stars. Gia and Rush were great, the character well developed. However, the story didn’t half drag on. I was like ‘ oh just talk to each other for goodness sake ‘.The story concluded well but the lack of bedroom action really took away what I’ve come to expect from these ladies.Sorry. But I tell it like it is.Next time, more sex and angst. Less inner monologue.

Fantastic!
I adored this book. Despite being unsure by the pregnancy plotline in book 1, I stayed interested and I'm so glad I did. The drama is seriously amped up by the revelations of the end of the last book and seeing how it affects these characters is amazing. They're really fleshed out human beings with natural responses to situations, which is what kept me hooked in a genre I wouldn't normally read. The humour is fantastic and I'm honestly so sad that it's over.

Great read
I don’t know what it’s about these two books but I just love them and have re-read them many times. ..I love Gia and Rush’s story.it’s a fun witty romance at first but then the shit hits the fan. Rebel Hier finishes on a cliffhanger where your going to HAVE to pick up the 2nd book to finish their story. You will truly get sucks in and binge straight though it.
