I have not used these yet, but it seems they will work as described.

The different sizes make these lids wonderful. You can find a size to fit most size bowls. You can use them on melon halves. Strectched one over half of a watermelon and it worked great. Will be getting the square ones too.

Really like these stretchy lids. You have to really work them on, but that's what keeps them from leaking.

I am avoiding plastic, this is a good resource, the size are perfect, still you need one or to bigger size.Good material, resistant and easy to clean.

Seems slightly thinner than my last set but does the job for the best Amazon price at my time of purchase. If you bring home watermelons much buy a set with the larger diameters.
