A good first primer
The intent of this book is to augment the official training of a club instructor pilot. For that purpose it succeeds rather well. It is a small, short book that covers the basics of both nitro and electric models. It covers basic flight, including takeoffs and landings, and of course safety. If you are learning on your own it is not a bad book to pick up but you will need to find a lot more information elsewhere.

A heads-Up book about getting into flying Radio-Control
Written by a British author, portrays the beginning steps of becoming a radio-control model airplane flyer. Generalized descriptions with pros and cons of flying electric or glow-plug, stick or foam wing, reasons for first joining a club and the AMA. There is enough information to perk your curiosity into getting more involved!

I'm flying, and not by the seat of my pants
It gave me all of the information I was seeking and needed to learn the hobby of flying model airplanes. I took the advice in the book and followed them to a tee. I have my AMA liscence, I belong to a great club. The South Jersey Silent Flyers. I have built and crashed my first plane(LMAO). oops. Gotta go. Meeting the fellows at the flying field in an hour. Bye

Flying RC Model Aircraft
This book is excellent -- concise, well illustrated, and obviously written by someone with a lot of experience in both flying and teaching others. Great book for beginners, or even those who are contemplating learning to fly RC.

caution is the word!
Flying an R/C aircraft for the first time can be likened to learning to drive a motorcar and if you want to minimise the risk of destroying your hard-earned investment in a few seconds then it's wise to learn as much as possible beforehand. This book provided what I wanted to know so I give it a 4 star rating

Good basic information
The book is short and concise, thanks for that. It provides an overview of what the flying model aircraft hobby brings with it. There is also a few pages on how to fly a mode aircraft. They are clear and to the point.I find that some of the explanations of abbreviations are too many and too superficial. All in all a good book for the starter.
