I may raise my review at some point..but I believe this unit may be used..even though it is not explained that way.. the box was dirty..the instructions looked weathered. It just looks used...oddly not even the name BOSLISA anywhere..not even on instructions.. not on product.. I tried one DVD and it did play.. will have to review when I start to burn or read data

Unfortunately, the usual problems with CDs and DVDs e.g. when you try to make an archive...Note, you better use USB 3.0 port, otherwise problems with the automatically installed sw driver

It meet my needs

I would not recommend this product at all. I feel like I just been scammed. Worked on the first try to just end up not working at all. Since I saw it wasn't working I was pressing the eject button but it wouldn't spit out my cd. I was getting worried and started thinking logically; it simply has 2 connectors 1 is for power and the other is data, they both plug to USB. So maybe it's not getting sufficient power by simply using your pc USB instead a direct USB outlet connector. Gave it some time because it still wouldn't eject on the 1st try. Gave it like 5 min. and it finally ejected. Tried using a CD that I didn't really care for because I wasn't about to risk trapping an important CD in this venus trap. I noticed that it ran the CD at moments but then it would give up. It ejected the CD after a couple of tries but honestly I wouldn't trust this thing even if it works. When it feels like it lol.Something's weird about the reviews on this product because it mostly has bad reviews but yet it has 4 1/2 star rating which is why I bought this item initially but then looking upon it closely it's really not a good product. I wouldn't suggest buying this product or any other products from this company. They have good reviews but read their reviews closely, mostly negative (and very understandably why). If you would like to donate money to this company go for it, give it to them because you're basically getting nothing in return except a nice looking hardware that does nothing. As for me I'm gonna break this thing apart and find some use for it but I'm definitely not falling for them again.

I can't tell you how many external CD/DVD drives I looked at before I finally settled with this one, the Bolisa USB 3.0 drive. I wanted to try it out for a couple of months before doing a review. I love this drive. It's straight-forward, intuitive and very easy to operate. So far, there is nothing I've found that I don't like about it. I would definitely recommend this product.DL Ferrier

This did exactly what we needed it to do, for a while. We had to research how to record and burn dvd’s, since it didn’t function intuitively with our MacBook Pro. But for a while now there has been a dvd in the player which we can’t get out. The eject options on the computer aren’t helping.? So this is when it becomes a serious flaw in the design for the player to not have its own manual eject button on the actual unit. I would recommend this device for the techie who relishes tracking down the work arounds for burning and ejecting. But for the regular customers who desire a simple dependable and easy to use external DVD player, unfortunately this one starts to reveal its shortcomings from day 1.

Bought this to view DVDs on my newer Dell laptop with no drive. I was able to watch 3 different DVDs. I was on a plane, so can't comment to noise. Worked great, didn't get too hot, thanks
