Straightforward and quick game with tons of replay value
My partner and I have been looking for more 2-player board games, and Yamma is a wonderful addition to our collection. Yamma is a connect 4 style game with a surprising amount of complexity and replay value. I like that it doesn't suffer from a common 2-player game issue - the advantage of going first. Because each side has both your color and your opponent's color, every move advances both players. The trick is to figure out how your move can best help you while minimizing how much it helps your opponent. It literally only takes a few minutes to set up Yamma, read the entire rulebook, and get started. But the simple rules breed plenty of complexity that will keep you going. If you're looking for a fun, quick game with a lot of depth for 2-players, you've found it.

Easy to learn - fun to play
Yamma is like connect four on steroids. It combines elements of spatial awareness and tactical thinking, as each move can either bring you closer to victory or set up a chance for your opponent to get the W. The simple mechanics make it easy to learn, the challenge comes from outmaneuvering your opponents and anticipating their strategies. Overall, it’s a great game to play with friends/family and it’ll surely be a staple of my game night from now on!

Yamma….. A fun family game for children and adults!
This game is very well packaged and of high quality. Instructions are easily understood. Great game for children 8+ as well as adults! No 2 games are the same, and the 3 dimensional aspect adds an extra degree of challenge. I would highly recommend without reservation! Great gift to encourage family time.

Fresh and unique design concept on this super fun game!
The media could not be loaded. My friends and I play a LOT of board games of all different types but I can honestly say that Yamma was a completely unique concept for all of us. It's unique style of perspective-based gameplay is perfectly executed in my opinion and makes for a game that's simple enough to explain/learn in 30 seconds but challenging enough to play for hours. The concept of this game is simple. The game consists of a triangular board with triangular holes cut in it and a spinning lazy Susan mounted on the bottom. Each player (2 player game) selects what color they want to be (white or blue) and takes one of the cubes and places it on the board. Each cube has 3 blue sides and 3 white sides so each player is attempting to place their cubes in a configuration on the board that gets them 4 of their colored cubes lined up in a row. Sounds simple but the rub is that any time you put a cube down, the other 2 sides of the cube may be showing a different color when viewed from one of the other 2 sides of the board (there are markers on each side to show you which angle to view it from). You may be setting yourself up for 4 whites in a row but little did you know that the white cube you just placed inadvertently created 4 blue's in a row when viewed from another perspective. This game is super fun. You find yourself constantly spinning the board around to look at it from every angle. What really adds to the strategy is once the holes are filled up you can start stacking cubes on top of other cubes which really starts to confuse things. You have to start thinking in 3 dimensions. "If I place the cube here, this side is facing up but then he can set his on top of mine so I need to have this side facing outward...". It gets pretty involved. It's rare to find such a simple game with this much complexity, and I mean that in the best way possible. Though it's intended to be a 2 player game, you can even play with 4 players (2 teams of 2) and have a no talking rule so you can't communicate with your teammate. We've been absolutely loving Yamma and I can't give this game enough praise or recommend it highly enough. Simple, fun, and completely unique. For $29.99 (at the time of this review) I think it's a fantastic value for a game this fun and fresh and I would absolutely recommend it.

Fun, but can be easily won.
It's a fun and challenging game once you get further in when you start stacking the blocks. However, sometimes it ends fast, it feels like tic-tac-toe in a way. The wood tray is high quality as well as the blocks. It's the perfect size. I like being able to spin the board as you play.
