Great MC4 tool
One of the better solar tools and the best disconnect tool.

Head and shoulders above the plastic rubbish most use. I don't use it very much but very grateful when I do use it.

Tool trying to cover all socket release types - ‘okay’ but not great.
Its a connector release tool that is trying to satisfy all solar connectors. Unfortunately its not perfect for MC4 connectors across different suppliers. Had two plastic release tabs broken because the tool is ‘just’ too narrow and sometimes does not ‘gather’ both tabs cleanly. Bent prongs outward and its ‘okay’, but not what I would expect for such a ‘professionals’ tool doing what is a very simple job.

Having used cheap versions this is the product to get. It you want something reliable and built to hold up keep this in your solar maintenance tool bag.

Work great for Windy Nation solar cables
Quality tool for solar cables, especially solar cables that don’t have the easy to push tabs to disconnect. Work great for the Windy Nation quality solar cables. The plastic tools on Amazon don’t work to disconnect the WN cables.

Seems like a nice item but it did not fit my standard solar panel connectors
I am not sure what to say about it other than my solar panels (Sun Power brand), just bought this year, came with connectors that this tool did not fit in. I was very surprised. Otherwise, this tool seems great, useful, well made. So I wasn't sure how to rate it. I've decided 4 stars for everything except the failure to fit.

Purchased as we Install Solar PV and wanted something easier to us than normal plastic MC4 Tools and really good for unplugging from Inverters etc
