I had the pleasure of using this week to charge my phone in my hourly commute to and from work. I’m a heavy user with spotify, google map, and my screen on and while it crawls to charge under heavy use. It does exactly what I need so I can use my lighting to aux adapter on my iPhone 8 Plus.This is my first wireless charger, and I bought it for an upcoming 5 hour trip so I wouldn’t have to worry about charging and listening to music at the same time. It does get a little bit warm, but since it’s mounted in the air vent it gets cold a/c to keep it all cool and have not had any issues so far. Yes, the "gravity" mechanism feels a little bit cheap, but it holds up fine. I would definitely suggest this to anyone who is hunting a good wireless charger.

The quality is noticeable right from the get-go. Most wireless car chargers have a light, plastic-ey feel that makes it less-durable than you would come to expect. The micro-USB plug is much easier to access than other chargers I’ve tried, which hide the plug around back, where the entire unit must be removed to be able to reach. The gravity-activated locking mechanism works just as advertised, and give it a premium feel, even for such a basic mechanism. Overall, from the box it came in to the installation and general usage, it feels well worth the money. The last thing I wanted was to have to stick one of those unsightly magents on the back of my phone to mount it to a magnetic wireless charger. This avoids that entirely with a simple drop-and-lock mounting system that keeps it feeling secure. Only thing I could ask for is some sort of landscape mounting system to be added, but that’s besides the point. Would recommend, both for price and quality.

Works well. Fast charging works with my GS8 and slim case. Three areas for improvement I see:1) as mentioned by others, mounting assembly (vent clip + swivel ball) causes to stick out a bit too much2) vent clip is loose and slips (spring tension only, cannot be manually tightened. clip jaws are not rubberized where make contact with vent louvers)3) bottom arm of phone cradle should be height adjustableOther than that, I'm happy with this device. I like that I all I have to do is set my phone into it and it does the rest. When the phone's weight settles onto the bottom arm of the cradle, this bottom arm moves downward and a mechanism causes the cradle's side arms to move inward to grasp the phone. I have not had the phone fall out over bumps or tight turns. I have, however, had the vent clip almost fall off. I expect it will fall off in the future as the spring tension weakens over time.

I was impressed on the packaging. The car charger was well placed in a box that has cushions around as if it was a jewelry or a watch. The most impressive part of the charger is the securing buckle that you can adjust to engage into the car vent. Instruction manual is explained well in English(although there is 1 misspelled word that I saw but it's ok) and easy to follow. It has pictures and diagram to guide the user. Wireless charging is very convenient while driving so you can easily manage the cables from the USB port.I have the product for more than a week. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 which is a little big for the charger to hold properly. I need to place the buckle into a higher part of the car vent which results for the phone to tilt down and is hard to look at while driving and using the map. It doesn't charge well for my phone. The wireless charging panel doesn't go right into the battery of my phone because of the size. It charges from the beginning and then it pauses most of the time even in smooth roads. After a few days of trying, I tried using a different phone which is Samsung S7 and is smaller in size and it works perfectly! Battery was at 50% and pumped up to 90% after 30mins. Overall, I would not recommend it to Samsung Note 8 phone users but would definitely recommend it to Samsung S7.

This item comes with the wireless charger/holder, two possible mounts, a micro-USB connector, and a fast-charging car charger. The two mounts allow you to either clip it to a vent in your car or stick it to your car using the adhesive-backed mount. The box it comes in is nice and has magnets to keep it closed. You can use the box to hold any accessories you do not use or use the box elsewhere; it is too nice to throw out!A light on the side of the stand indicates whether your phone is charger and whether it is fully charged. A red light indicates it is still charging.I say this stand is effortless to use because the weight of your phone sitting in the holder pulls the side arms together so that it securely holds your phone. To release your phone, you need not push any buttons or turn any screws--simply pick up your phone. The side arms and bottom arm are padded with foam so that your phone is held securely regardless of size, with or without a case.

The first unit I received did not charge my iPhone 8 whatsoever. I tried using my girlfriends iPhone X. No luck either. Customer service quickly sent us a replacement unit, assuring us that this is not a common issue whatsoever. Great and friendly customer service with an extremely speedy response.The next unit arrived and worked as described. The vent mount tends to get weighted down quite easily (Tested in both an Audi A4 and BMW 3 series) and has to be repositioned. They do provide a mount with adhesive to mount on a flat surface on your car (still haven't and likely won't do this though). Maybe in the next revision they'll have a better vent mount? Or potentially a CD player mount instead?The charger doesn't work with certain cases. I was using the TORRAS Slim Fit Shell Hard Plastic with my iPhone and wouldn't be able to charge. I have since changed to a TPU case and was able to charge through it.I wish that they did not put any branding on the product. It cheapens the look of the product.Despite the flaws, I can overlook them. I hope the next revision fixes these nuances.
