HotRox Electronic Hand Warmer

I've bought 3 of these one each for two other members of my family. We all love the product. So easy to have on tap for those times when you need a heater inside your glove or when sitting in a cold waiting-room getting colder by the minute. It's also good to warm up painful joints knees & wrists.What is even better is the safety, as it needs no fuel or burner simmering in the pocket it's good old USB. My only gripe is that it takes a long time to charge up fully even on a powered charger and I have never used any device that needs to be run flat completely 5 times before the battery is conditioned. Someone told me these actually need fully flattening 10 times. That's really inconvenient as it should be conditioned before it is first used. The idea of having to flatten and not recharge until has lost every volt is back in the dark ages of Ni Cad batteries that had their memory upset by recharging when half flat. Anyhow this little rock is a gem and works like a charm. I recommend it all the time.as it works well and is pretty good value. A clever design for sure.

I watch a lot of Ice Hockey and go to a fair few games to watch the best team ever.....Manchester Storm :-) The Hot Rox is good and does a good job of keeping my hands warm, its a piuty that only one side of it gets hot which does mean you have to be constantly flipping it over between your hands to keep them both warm. But battery life is good enough and despite other reviewers saying otherwise I think the temperature is fine. I just wished both sides got hot.

I have now bought two of these for my other half and she raves about them, not for the hand-warming (although that's great) but for her back pain. She suffers from ankylosing spondilitis, a degenerative arthritic condition and frequently wakes up at night with back and joint pains. Now she can charge the hotrox up and keep them by the bed at night. When she wakes with a pain she slips it underneath the affected area and goes back to sleep...four or five hours later she will wake up and the pain is GONE. Brilliant and highly recommended...buy them in the summertime when the prices are lower!

Bought for my golfing mad father in law for Christmas. He's only used it once but has experimented quite a bit with it and is delighted with it. On medium setting it retained its heating for 6 hours, on high setting it lasted 3 hours which for him is ideal. Dead easy to charge and use too, much better than refilling with fuel or burning charcoal. He said it takes about an hour to charge but that was via a charger not a computer.

Good idea and definitely warms your hands the only complaint would be it needs to be double-sided not just heat on one side of the pebble I keep turning it around and changing hands.

Its both a bit on the small side and only heats on 1 side .... meaning you can't cup both hands around it and get warmth.Does heat up quickly and its fine but not brilliant for the money

Brilliant purchase for a cold handed person as myself. With two settings warm & hot it was just what I was looking for. You can set it away, get your hands warm then leave it in your pocket & continue on your task returning your hands to your pocket for warmth as required. A good battery life means long lasting heat followed by an easy quick method of recharge

Arrived promptly and as advertised. Used it for the first time, on the golf course, today. No lighting of wicks or anything like that. Just flip the switch. On low power (more than enough) it lasted 15 holes, by which time my hands were quite warm anyway. So I would recommend it for golfers, but perhaps not for shooters (say) or anyone, who might need it all day long.
