Every aquarist should have one
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Having an aquarium at home can be a bit of a challenge when you are out on a holiday for a week or so. Fishes can sustain without being fed for 2-3 days but for a week or more can be a bit tricky, potentially losing your live stock. It was since a very long time I was planning to buy one but after this year holiday I decided to go for one.Package Content:1x Fish feeder1x Fish feeder mount2x Sticky Velcro1x instruction leafletThe automatic fish feeder is very simple to use. It needs 2x AA batteries. After inserting the batteries in push the mount at the back of the battery case. Unscrew the mount and install on the side of the fish tank and tighten it. If you do not like the idea of fixing on the side rim of the tank then you can stick the Velcro on the fish feeder and the other end where you would like the feeder to be installed. There are 2 ways you can feed the fish.1) Using the long vertical manual button2) Using the timerYou can set the timer to feed the fishes at 4 different timing in the 24 hour period or you can set 3 options to blank and set only 1 feeding time every day. The food dispenser can be adjusted so the exact amount of food can be dispensed into the tank. I suggest to use pellets rather than flakes as all flakes aren’t the same size.NOTE: When removing the fish food containing make sure you don’t manually twist it else it will lose its alignment from the mechanism inside the unit. The leaflet is great and very well written and tells you exactly on how to setup the unit.Great unit to have for every aquarist.Update - 19/09/2018 - I have converted the battery operated fish feeder into electric. This can be used with any 5V power supply straight into the wall mounted or usb power plug or even power bank. See attachedNOTE: you need a bit of knowledge to solder the wires where the battery connections are.I really hope you found my review helpful and would love for you to click on the “YES” button to say so. Does the job, but not for what I need.
So my thought process was, I'm going away, my turtle will need feeding, this would be ideal, but for turtle food it doesn't seem to turn out a lot of food what what he eats. But the concept is fantastic, I can imagine for normal sized food, not the varying sizes I use for Leo, if he ate the smaller pellets this wouldn't be a problem. He just doesn't like them but for the mixed food it's a no go. Still 5* because it does what is needed just not what I need.

OK , bracket didnt work and missing Velcro piece
Hiya the actual machine seems to operate alright for now. but the bracket will not attach to the feeder as it is too small. Also i didn't get both pieces, dissapointed.

Need no hand when no one around.
Easy to set up and work perfectly fine. The auto feeder will last for around 2 weeks, as my tank is only 16 gallons. Now we can go somewhere for a few days without worrying about the fish not being fed.Overall a happy purchase, highly recommended.

Good for lazy parents
Pretty fish feeder. Most pet feeders normally get food stuck inside which this didn't suffer from. I also use this to dispense feed to my children as it's really convenient. The little critters gather around when it's feeding time

Great for the price!
Great product, extremely easy to use! Fits plenty of food in it and adjusting the amount of food is easy. Wouldn’t give it 5 stars only because when I opened it a piece that holds the top on snapped off so slightly flimsy.

Very satisfied
Very reliable feeder, doesn't clog and works perfectly. I leave for trip and I am not worried at all about my fish and shrimp feeding.*update* Lately it is a little sensitive and stops working completely if you tap gently on it... I hope it will not cause a big problem if I set it up carefully..

My fish nearly died
We tried this item out before going on holiday and it worked fine. We came back home after two weeks to find that it had not been working the whole time, and my fish were very distressed.
