This tool has been working flawlessly for the past 3 months. It cuts accurately and makes the connections a breeze. I just did a large job and it performed better than expected.

I work with internet server a lot, and thus I do a lot of cabling and RJ45 connector assembly. This seems like a good-quality tool except for one thing. When crimping, it doesn't completely cut all the wires coming our of the pass-through RJ45. The two outer wires (pins 1 and 8) are not quite cut all the way through. I have to use a knife to cut the last strand or two or bend the wire back and forth repeatedly until it breaks.It is possible that this is partially caused by the connectors being slightly out of tolerance. So I took off one star.

Didn’t work to cut off the pass through cables flush to the end. Otherwise worked well on normal ends.

First six terminations I made with this tool all failed. I am an industrial electrician who does controls and communication wire. I make tons of rj 45 connections and bought this because it cut the ends on pass throughs.Unfortunately it doesnt work. If I still had the package I would return it.The cutter did work well, flush no problems there. What's the point though if it doesnt actually crimp correctly.

If you are planning on making quite a few cables, the blade that cuts while crimping only lasts for about 10-15 times before having to adjust the blade. After about 5 more I need to put a new blade in. And extra blades are included which is the reason for 3 stars

Had this for a few weeks now and so far so good.... Done about a hundred or so rj45's and all have passed with flying colors, cuts perfectly and has a satisfying riviting "crunch" that you expect to hear with a successful crimp. Great price and is almost identical to coworkers $80 brand name crimps.

Tried out the tool on a couple of RJ45 connectors on Cat5e cable. Seems to work just fine.The cable tested fine on my Sperry cable tester.The tool came in an opaque plastic bag and I didn't notice if there were extra blades in the bag. So, I don't have any extra blades, but it may be my fault.Also, no directions or user instructions.
