HORZE Slow Hay Feeder Net

I have been using these for about 3 weeks & they're holding up well against some pretty aggressive eaters. Originally I ordered them to make evening hay rations last longer in their stalls. I have three super easy keepers (so I can't necessarily just give them more hay) and one who bolts his hay down, then paces his stall out of boredom. So far the nets are slowing their consumption and keeping them occupied for much longer stretches. I had previously bought a Freedom Feeder net for $75 that lasted about 9 months with an aggressive horse; we'll see how long these last.

So far the netting is durable, but the two ties at the top broke off within 3 days of use.

Ok I was very disappointed in this slow hay net.It only lasted two weeks before I found a good size hole in it.I have two horses that were using my other 2 existing hay nets in addition to thisone. My existing nets are from Hay Chix and they have been holding up for over 4years now with out a problem. I was looking for this rectangular shape net to hang off my fence(which Hay Chix does not carry)and felt the price was worth it. I learned the hard way it really wasn't.I ended buying 100% Nylon custom size Hockey Net from Arizona Sport and makingmy own net. This stuff is heavy duty and should last for many years.I gave this net a two becauseI did end up patching up the hole in the Horze slow feed Hay Net and I am stillusing it but I don't think it is going to last the season.

This bag shredded into a long, strip of net roping that my mare partially swallowed... Fortunately for her, my mother happened to be there when she noticed what she thought was twine hanging between the bag and my horse's chewing mouth. The netting material was slowly extracted from my horse's mouth- a solid 18" of it! I don't even know how this could've happened since the string appears to have just pulled (without being chewed through or visibly torn) like a run in a sweater.There was NOTHING wrong with the bag 20 minutes earlier when we fed and the bag had only been used twice daily for the duration of 11 days. I have no idea what could have happened or would have happened had we not been there to notice this! Needless to say, the hay was emptied and I intend on returning the product and seeking a safer, more durable alternative. I'm including photos- you can see how the string that makes up the netting just literally unraveled into that frizzy mess. The end had a thick wad of hay particles and saliva on it and may have been down her throat because of the length. Not okay!

LOVE THIS! It's so easy to fill, and holds enough for my horse for a whole day. Only issue is that the ties are useless. I took a strand of poly cord and weaved it through the top as a quick fix. It secures better and is actually faster for me. Holes are very small, which is good because my guy drops his hay and then won't eat it. This bag keeps him from wasting it. Definitely recommend this to anyone with a hay eating animal.It holds about 4-6 flakes of hay. I stuff it full and cinch it really tight.

I bought 3 of these. I love the concept but after a couple months all 3 had holes. One unraveled, and the other came apart by the seam. I hang them in my stalls. Wish the netting was a little stronger. I did patch them and they are still usable, for the price they are okay, wouldn't purchase again

Just what I expected

Im very impressed with this hay net. It's very sturdy and well made. The holes are the perfect size to slow down my horses' eating without frustrating them. I recommend this product and will definitely buy it again.
