The end result is outstanding! The blending is easy and if you have any other projects that used small paint pots, save them to use for this. I would really recommend that since it's easy to blend up a color, think you are all done and then find over the next few days that you have missed spots that need the same blend. I did the light colors first leaving them a bit thicker to make sure numbers and lines would get covered. Then thinned them up a touch when I had to start blending with them. There was plenty of paint to finish and I had more than enough to finish up the edging (about 1/4" all around the edge) with straight black. The frame I used was just barely the right size, so it was nice to make sure that white edging wasn't showing. The colors are great and the leaves a bit more vivid than the picture shows. The finished size is not quite 14 x 11 though. If you're planning on a frame, don't buy ahead of time. My finished picture minus that 1/4" edge was 13 x 10. Enjoy!

I have to say that Dimensions creates incredible paint by number kits. This is the second one I have completed and I plan on doing many more. I bought this to have a relaxing activity to keep me occupied while listening to books on tape (multitasking hobbies!). The painting is very detailed and many of the areas to paint are small (so not really suitable for small children or older adults who may have arthritis, etc). This results in a fantastic finished product, however. Plus the mixing of paints allows for variety and some creativity on the part of the painter. So if even you and a friend do the same painting, it may not turn out exactly alike :) I love the colors in this particular kit. It's great for fall with the oranges and reds. The wolf is very realistic and not cartoony like some other kits I have seen.

I loved this painting. I think it is so beautiful. But the only thing that I didn't like is that I had to mix some of the paints. It made so the colors didn't turn out quite how I expected.

I only purchase Dimensions PaintWorks and this is NOT that. It came rolled up on a canvas and the paints are premixed. It's like a screen print on a canvas. The colors are all wrong - they are dark purple not gray. And there is no detailing. I am very disappointed and probably won't even finish it.

I was really excited when I got this in the mail right away. Its a very detailed pbn and takes a lot of time, I'm almost done and I have to say it is absolutely beautiful. I want to say it looks just like the picture, the only difference is the colors are a lot brighter than the picture hints at. Trust me, that's not a bad thing, its very nice and Id recommend it to anyone whose patient enough to do it.UPDATE 2013!!!!!I have had this painting finished and framed on my wall for a long time now and everyone loves it! I am so happy I bought this and took the time to finish it! It is absolutely beautiful.

This looked like it would be a fun and pretty painting, but it wasn't fun painting it. With all the branches it just felt like I was painting lines everywhere with random colors that made no sense. It was hard to get a feel for what I was painting. The lighter colors were too thin in consistency making it hard to cover the lines and the numbers completely. The paint brush they give you is not easy to use in all the small areas and it wasn't very durable. I've done other paint by numbers from this same brand that have turned out better and were more fun to paint. I love wolves so I'm sad that this didn't turn out the way I was hoping. I do like that it is on a board rather than canvas, it makes it easier to paint and I don't have to stretch it.

I expected to get a pre printed board and for it to come in a box like everyone else. But instead I got a rolled up canvas that’s extremely hard to paint on. Not what the description describes at all.

This project was for my 11 year old son who loves wolves. I completed it in just a few weeks by painting a little each day. It arrived in perfect condition. The paints were plenty as I had some leftover. I’m a huge fan of Dimensions paint by number. I just ordered another one for my son and look forward to painting it and seeing the finished product.
