The media could not be loaded.  I have this super cool dragon tree that I love, but it needs to meet certain conditions (that aren't native to my apartment) to thrive. This is my first tropical plant, so I got this soil meter so that I could keep track of the sunlight conditions and the moisture level - which can be tricky at times.I was very pleased with this purchase, as it is not only helpful to my plant's survival, but it is also really neat to look at and see the different readings. One thing that I thought was neat was the light sensor - which I have a close up of on the attached pictures. Something I'd like to try out is the pH meter on something like hydrangeas. That would be really cool and easy to help change their color (as it is linked to the pH of the soil).

This product is not reliable. It registers when you first insert it into the soil, but if left in the same location after 1-2 days it permanently registers low, even when the soil is still moist. We just had a bunch of rain over several days and when I took a look at it, it said the moisture was low. The only way to acquire true readings is to move it to a new location every other day. My eyeballs are more accurate than this device. If you rely on this device you can ruin your vegetable garden by over watering.

This was perfect for my citrus tree, I am able to check how much water is left at the bottom of the pot (It's a dwarf tree) and to make sure I don't over water it.(So far I have it for Just two weeks but that is two watering) I will test the the PH level on other trees and will update later

I needed a simple tool to control moisture level of my plant's soil, this device does exactly what I was looking for. If you need a scientifically accurate PH/moisture meter, this device is not for you, but it is fine for getting rough idea about soil condition.

Got this item today and tried it right away. Glad to have it since I found a pot of soil was clumped and water couldn't go through and therefore, the plant is drying out and dying. It saves my plant. Good to have one in your garden.

Very best product, was very helpful on my flower to maintain its PH and moisture, and it doesn't need battery that's very excellent, recommended to all gardner.

Had this meter a week when one of the prongs broke. Returned it. Bought just a water meter, one prong. So far so good.

This works great - though the construction is pretty cheap. You don't need much to just stick it in the ground and read.
