Easy to fit nice and soft under laminate flooring

Firstly, I know literally nothing about flooring, but by some kind of luck, I happen to work with a guy who was in the flooring game for over 20 years, so you can imagine, I asked him what I would need for underlay. You should know I looked everywhere online, I looked at the padded squares, the fancy felt, this and that until I asked this guy and he said, you only need one type and it's the original underlay, going since 1952, you won't regret it. Well, if anyone is going to know, it would be this guy at work, so I took the plunge and ordered up a roll. I can tell you straight off the bat, it's heavy, really heavy and I'm a strong lad, but man, did me right in carrying it. Once unwrapped, cut to length, silver side down and tape up (see my other review for the tape). Flooring went down over the top and I'll tell you what, the fella at work wasn't wrong, this really is the right stuff for the job. Been going since 1952 and you can see why they are still going, this is great underlay, well made, good to work with, lays and cuts like a dream. My first floor laid and I wouldn't hesitate to buy this stuff again and of course recommend it again. Thanks to the guy at work I'm able to pass on his recommendation!

Brilliant underlay
I have just fitted new laminate flooring in our downstairs hall way and with some research i decided to go for this underlay. Overall I am very happy, the underlay wend down very easily and made the fitting process of the laminate a pleasure. The underlay seems to have good insulating properties and reduces noise. Would recommend.

Good product
Although not seen after the looring is laid they are good at reducing noise.

Expensive but worth it!!
This has done an excellent job of hiding minor imperfections in floor level. It has also taken the bounce out of the finished floor that can sometimes be experienced with cheaper products.
