Got a cheaper teflon bone folder before this one. It was a mistake. I had never had a teflon folder before, but had read how much people love the feel of them compared to plastic. The cheaper one I got was roughly shaped, stained with dark smudges under the teflon, and felt like it was covered in a waxy film instead of smooth. I was worried teflon folders were overrated. Upon holding out hope something was wrong with the first one I purchased, and receiving this in the mail, I GET it! This folder works well, is precisely shaped, and feels great to hold and use. What I should have gotten first.

This bone folder does a good job of creasing paper, but it's very uncomfortable to use due to its design. The edges of the piece are sharply squared off, not rounded in the least (except for the single pointed end, which is slightly blunted.) As a result, I'm holding a sharp-edged rectangle in my hand and wincing every time I press down on it to crease paper or burnish a fold. I have to be especially careful of the two sharp points on the flat burnishing plane at the opposite end of the piece's point: more than once I've accidentally dragged one of the sharp points across my skin and endured a surprise scratch.

I have some bone folders but none that crease like this one. I love it so much I just ordered another to stay in my tool bag when I go to crops and one to stay in my craft room. This is a small family company who looks after their customers. I received an email asking did I receive my bone folder due to not so nice delivery persons who throw packages around. I was impressed. Now a days "Who does this", people who care.

I was so skeptical about the price of this but I went ahead anyhow because I was so tired of ruining projects with shiny streaks from plastic "bone" folders. This is the best craft tool I own. I love the sharp edges because I can use any edge that it handy when I pick the tool up and all edges fold beautifully with no marks. I use the tip for scoring and it doesn't poke through paper easily either because it is not too sharp.

This was not the item that I ordered from New like-Tim Chan. I ordered the TEFLON Bone folder shown above. I'm not sure yet if what I received is Teflon, however it is the 2-piece item creaser & scorer (cheaper) sold under a different item number & the scorer is totally flat & different from this one without the angles I was looking for.

I ordered this bone folder because they were so expensive from other sites and I really wanted to get one. This was one of the least expensive ones on Amazon and I am so glad that I picked this one! First, it is large and not easily lost. It is very smooth and works great with my ScorePal. I like that it has a curve on one side of the end that is great for burnishing smaller areas. That was an unexpected bonus.

I have looked and looked for over a year for a Teflon bone folder and this is a very nice, high quality one! I am enjoying it so much. It does not leave any shine on my cardstock. I plan to give these as gifts to my crafting friends this Christmas.

I do not know how I got along without this bone folder. I have had several and nothing as smooth and easy to handle like this one. If you craft with paper, you need this bone folder.
