This is NOT 100% cotton rope
Unfortunately, I misinterpreted other reviewers comments. They were also looking for 100% cotton, as I was. This product has nylon strands wrapped by cotton. The details by Amazon do not claim this to be 100% cotton, but "other details" should contain the actual content.

Not 100% cotton
I was looking for 100% cotton to use in a craft.... The answered questions on this page indicate it is 100% cotton. Holding a flame to the end, it melts which indicates a poly or synthetic fiber.

NOT 100% COTTON.
NOT 100% COTTON. it is 100 foot stretchy synthetic braided outer cover with some flimsy core of paper or cotton. Looks like http://www.wilcor.net/ has not paid attention to accuracy.
