First roast went well. I was really impressed but the second one the motor died and it started burning. Nearly caught on fire. I would give it a shot if you want to gamble with a good product when it worked. If it would have stayed working well it would have gotten 5 stars. I did not order a replacement to reassess as I will be getting something different, I am not much of a gambler.

The media could not be loaded. Was using an old popcorn machine for air roasting. This thing is a game changer. Set it and walk away. Does a great job and the automatic cooling off is great.

Good solid roaster, still functions fine after ~ 40 loads. Reason for 4 star only : No "Favorite settings" function. Once you figured out that your favorite roast is 11 min on 240 F (example) , you should be able to store that somewhere and just easily call that program for every load.... But no, you have to press the time button about 24 times to get the time down to 11 min, and than the temp button 5 times to go from 235 default to 240... That gets annoying , especially if you roast a few loads one after the other...

Works couple days then, stop heating. Don't buy it. Cero Stars. waste of money.

The media could not be loaded. This is a good roaster to learn and get started with for small batches. Chaff collector does a good job. Roaster seems to be durable as I have done about 15 batches without wear on the machine. No smoke smell but that could be due to me roasting outside. Good temp and time controls. Do wish the power cord was alittle longer. For the price, great roaster!A few things I don’t like.. machine is very loud and very hard to hear the First Crack. Also, no way to tell the bean temperature without doing mods with a thermometer. Needs a pre-heat function

Didn't last 5 minutes before the blower fan fried. Wasted the coffee I was attempting to roast. What a typical piece of China junk! Waste of time and money.

I've owned 2 of the more expensive Fresh Roast SR's. I bought this to replace a fresh roast that broke after 3 months of use.I have to say, this roaster is as good or BETTER than the Fresh Roasts I've owned.Value is great! Its half the price of the SR.Size is good. It holds more beans the the SR.Yes, the fan is loud, but it's comparable to the SR.Very easy to use. Easy to clean. Heat, fan, and time levels are adjustable.I'm loving this roaster.

Will not work properly , it is not fitting up top. I believe there is a screw missing but renders this not so useful.
