Seems to do what it's designed for
Been looking to try hydroponics for some time so testing some tomatoes plants. They were on a window sill but not doing well (Scottish winter sun) moved them into an internal space. You can see the state they where in after I moved them in the picture, thought they would die. But with this system setup with water/tomatoes plant food and a basic led cool white bulb maybe 5w I was amazed how well the plant recovered. The plants are so big I think they have out grown the power the bulb can deliver and pot, in theory the plant should not flower but will see what happens.The water container seems to be a bit smelly but with just 1 pot being used the water is not being used fast it's been a few weeks. I think it would be best to be using more pots to keep the water usage up to stop it stagnating, I'm also thinking about an air pump and stone to try and oxygenated the water in the reservoir. I am pleased with it so far and don't see any reason not to recommend this product. Plastic products are always contentious issue with some food growers but I'm happy to try it. Given it 4 stars as I've only been using it for a short time.

Well worth the money.
This kit was much more than I expected it to be - it's very well designed and constructed, with floats that control the water feed to each pot. The reservoir was much larger than I'd expected, which means I can confidently leave the plants for longer.It takes a little while to put it all together, but the instructions make it quite simple.I'm very pleased with it!

First class system but has teething problems
A very good and simple System with minimal maintenance however when filling pots with water you must ensure that the the ballast does not fill with water and cause it to overflow once you know it is not overflowing it is is good good for as long as you have water in the butt

Only one worked, just barely.
Only one of the pots isn't blocked and i bought four. Complete rip off as even the one that works is rubbish. I have the tank as high as possible, even using a step ladder to fill it but in two weeks no water has left the tank.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS.Also there seems to be no way to contact the seller to hear their side of this and what they would do about it.
