This size bulb is so hard to find for my ceiling fan. And when I do find them they are not usually bright. These however are exactly what I was looking for! They are super bright and make the lighting in my living room 100 times better. The only issues I have are the fact that they can sometimes make a white noise sound almost like how you can hear a TV is on even when it is muted. Not really a buzzing but a soft electrical humming noise. If that makes any sense. It's nothing unbearable and sometimes I don't even hear it at all. Also, now that I have had them in for about month I have notice that they occasionally flicker on and off at random. It doesn't last long and it's usually just one randomly at a time but it is kind of annoying. It worries me that they are going to just burn out at any minute. Even if they do burn out I can see myself purchasing again for the sheer fact I need the lighting and so far I have not found a product that even compares to the brightness level. 4/5 for those reasons but over all worth the investment.

I feel confident that the bulbs are ok when used properly. However, because these lights are not dimmable, they are not suitable for ceiling fans that are controlled by a remote controller (because it transitions lighting off and on with a dimming feature). the light will strobe if you try to install it in a fan with remote control, so if you are sensitive to that, you've been warned. The product description needs to be more clear about the bulb not being suitable for remote control fans.

They were nice at first but they have all but one died and thats unaceptable for LEDsLEDs should last 20+ yearsCFL should last 7-10 yearsIncedesents (old style) last 1-2 yearsThis is on average and depends on useage but these only lasted 2 years before they syaryed dieing and its not the actual bulb but the PCB board or electronics inside it

Bought a pack of 4 for ceiling fan. Fan has 3 well ventilated tulip style fixtures. Put them in on the 9th, one blew the evening of the 10th. These weren't left on all night or anything crazy. Just normal kitchen use.Good stuff: The color temperature is not the obnoxious blue-white but more like an incandescent bulb. They are nice and bright.UPDATE 2/25/19The second of 4 bulbs just burned out tonight. These are in free air, not enclosed. They give LED lighting a bad name. Dropped a star.March 8, 2019 3rd bulb went out. It's the(newest) most recent one replaced. Only one remains. These bulbs sold by this company do not rate more than 1 star.

While these bulbs were perfect for my application, one of the four burned out after only a few weeks. Buyer beware. How can they rate these for thousands of hours when they burn out so quickly?Update: another bulb burned out after I wrote the previous review. I now have eight of the bulbs, and three have gone bad - the latest one after only a few hours of service. I won't be buying them again.

I has been hard to find LED bulbs for the E17 base lightbulbs. These work very well and illuminate our living room quite well.

OMG!!! Tried 5 different bulbs from Amazon to fit my Hampton Bay ceiling fan. This set works absolutely PERFECTLY. It lights my shades the exact same way as the incandescent ones. Cool to the touch. Energy efficient.So pleased. Will update on longevity.Update:Wife just mentioned how much she loves these.. she rarely ever even notices things like this
