Money well spent for the DIY crowd
If you expect these to be made of some everlasting, cosmic, scrubby-scrub unobtainium, that lasts forever, they aren't. BUY THEM ANYWAY!! These work well for a number of things I never thought of. The trick to making them last is don't put pressure on them. Just guide the tool. Don't push. If you have to push, you're using the wrong abrasive for the job. I got them to remove surface rust, gasket maker rtv, and pitting in aluminum engine parts. They worked fine for the most part. I have found several uses for these and believe they are a good value.

I recommend the abrasive buff wheels
Greetings ... Reviewer,I recommend the abrasive buffing wheels as I used similar abrasive wheels in the military to control corrosion from rusting metals on ships, aircraft, and vehicles exposed to ocean salt water. I like this set of four (4) different grits to choose from in removing light-to-heavy paint/level of rusts I needed to treat and removal. I recommend you use the Rust-oleum paints to keep the treated area to prevent further rust.SacMac

Great for Nukes and Grannys
Before I bought these, I asked if anybody had used them on acrylic. Didn't get an answer, bought them anyway, figuring I would use them on something. They don't work worth a darn on acrylic. Dremmell will get it hot enough to dig a hole, but, leaves terrible surface. I did try it on a couple other surfaces, mixed results. copper, brass, bronze, cleans, brights surface; Wood, same-same. They don't seem to heavily abrade, nor smoothly finish, but a worthwhile intermediate step. Useful for getting into nooks, crannies, details. I am quite sure they will be useful on a number of projects. Pleased with purchase.

Surprisingly good
I bought these for some fine finish work on metal; I used them in a small air driven die grinder. The product arrived in a small cardboard box, unceremoniously stuffed into a single plastic bag. The wheels I have tried so far (about 4 out of 40) have spun true, and the abrasive works as it should. Somewhat faster wear than a Cratex wheel, but these are a fraction of the price and do a good job. Still evaluating this batch, but so far, so good.

A good handy set of mini-buffers for certain types of metal cleaning work!
A good & varied set of buffers adaptable for intricate metal cleaning and polishing. They do wear down soon, but for the special jobs they are applied to, it's still a good value at the low price as they work well!

sort of work but no stamina
Last about as long as a fruit fly and don't do a very good job. Not totally useless but only highest grit has been of any use to me in actually removing ANY material at all. Maybe useful for polishing but I need an actual abrasive (which these are SUPPOSED to be).
