Nice robot vacuum for the price
I bought one of these after reviewing "best cheap robot vacuums" on the internets. After a month of use, it works great. It picks up a lot of dust around the house and is very easy to use. Connecting it to home wifi is a cinch. Anyone capable of playing candy crunch on their phone can use this with ease. The app interface is very simple and allows for room selection, custom ordering, placement of obstacles and more. The size is bigger than I thought it would be, but it is pretty non-assuming sitting there on the floor hooked up to its dock, and it looks cool. A couple/few things: first, you have to prep your space to run a robo vac, like making sure there aren't wires or clothes on the floor. Second, when you run it on a cleaning job, you'll "learn by doing;" it will likely get stuck on something you didn't think of, or knock something over. It'll tell you on your smartphone that it got stuck, and then you know to adjust your room prep for next time. Lastly, this thing will pick up more hair than you ever thought possible. Note that if you have anyone in your household with longer hair, said hair is all over the floors in your house and it can wrap itself around the vac's main brush and freeze it up. Fortunately, maintenance is very easy to free the main brush back up if it gets tangled.

My favorite little helper
One of the best investments I've ever made. Very thorough and awesome little guy. Keeps my home nice and clean on a schedule. I gave it 4 stars because I honestly don't get the mopping part of the device itself. You just fill it with water, and the mop strip is too small to even look like it does anything. Doesn't really seem to mop. I use a swiffer or other swivel mop right after. 04/15/2026 update. Mop does work, but only does so lightly. I saw a moist trail after it today but will spot clean and try it out at some point to see just how good it cleans.

Low profile auto-dump Tapo is my way to go!
WOW! I'm totally impressed. I've only used it once but was impressed first with its mapping ability. It went all around the house sucking up dirt very easily in its first pass as it avoided baseboards. Then it went all around the house again using its mapping to get close to the baseboards. The little sweeper easily swept the dirt and crumbs into its suction mouth. When it went through doorways it went back and forth over the crack between carpet and hard surface. It vacuumed under beds (with no floor frames), sofa, and a futon, none of which my vacuum is low enough. None of my carpets are too shaggy for it. I didn't have to "rescue" it even once. When it was finished it docked and obeyed the command its robotic base made, to empty the contents of its work into the bag. The sale price was excellent to entice me to try a robot vacuum cleaner. I'm very glad I bought it.

Great vac, adequate mop
With two toddlers and a puppy, this vac-mop has it's work cut out for it. My overall impression is that it's is a great vac-mop for the price. In retrospect, I would have paid more for better mopping capabilities, but this is fine for now! The good: - the smart mapping feature is super easy to use and I appreciate how user-friendly the app is - the vacuum hits every area and does a good job getting into corners - the suction is adequate, and the mop feature does a decent job - this genuinely makes my life easier and saves me time cleaning The less good: - attaching and detaching the mop is kind of annoying because you have to do it manually - when the mop is attached, my vac-mop gets stuck on thicker rugs. Makes sense, but still requires an extra step when I want a quick clean. - the mop is mediocre. I'd say it gets 70% of the mud my pup drags in, and then I have to go over it again myself.

Bad vacuum-battery dead in a year and it is flaky and has multiple issues
One year update: battery is dead and vacuum is not functioning. Battery warranty is 6months. Cannot find a replacement battery either. Original: It is a good vacuum but has issues. The mapping software is good. It mapped the entire area quickly. You can set up rooms and virtual walls. Scheduling is fine but for some reason some schedules were skipped. The Vacuum works well. The issues are 1. Gets stuck on anything that has a slight incline like a lamp base or a fan base or a rubber mat. I will attach photos. 2. It bumps into everything and has issues navigating around non-linear objects. 3. Wont find the way back to the dock. It needs a ~5 feet clearance in front of the dock. I had a table leg about 3 feet in front of the dock and it kept bumping into it trying to return to the dock and finally gave up. It could easily have navigated around even the thin leg with enough clearance around it. The only way it docks is by aligning about 5 feet ahead of the dock and backs into it. Even a small obstacle causes the docking to abort. It sometimes gets lost and errors out in other rooms and cannot locate the dock. 4. It needs a bag for the dock which is not available. Look for the bags before buying the vacuum. If you try to buy the bags, it takes you to amazon and they are unavailable. 5. This vacuum did not come with any spare brush, bag, rollers or filters. I have run the vacuum 5 times and it has errors 4 times and the vacuum stuck every time. I am attaching a picture of the errors. I have not tried the mopping function and really dont plan to use it.

From IHome to Tapo
So Iโve had this for about a month and figured I would actually do a review on it before we had the IHome. So my family has had experience with these kind of vacuum cleaners. The reason I wanted to purchase this is because all of our cameras around our house use the same app as the vacuum cleaner my husband said just because a company makes a camera doesnโt mean they can make a good vacuum cleaner. This one can make a good vacuum cleaner and hereโs why. The battery life all this works really well. We live in a two bedroom single wide trailer and it cleans the whole house. The problem with the eye home was it wouldnโt bring itself back after it is finished cleaning This one actually does. I like seeing you have different sets of cleanliness. The lowest setting is very quiet and of course, the higher you go in suction the louder itโs going to get. The sturdiness of this vacuum cleaner is amazing; we have three dogs and they trip over it and it just keeps going like nothing ever happened to it. I donโt feel like it looks any different than our old one that we had but I did move it to a smaller section because the back is a little thinner, which works well if youโre trying to put it in a tighter spot overall I would definitely purchase this again. I did get it on sale after Christmas.

Great little vacuum
Does a good job

Good job, but didn't last long.
She did a good job for about 3 months. She was keeping all my hardwood and tile floors clean, and doing a good job with rugs. She was slightly clumsy and would run into items, and knocked over a fake Christmas tree once. After 3 months she developed a wheel module error, started running poorly, and would drop the map and get lost. I would find her in the morning lost somewhere in the house out of batteries. The mopping is not fantastic, but serviceable for what I needed, but I still have to hand mop to do a good job. She also does not do well with long hair on the floor, which causes her to tangle up and quit working. Had she not had the wheel error and the getting lost issue, I would have rated this higher. I fear there may be a durability issue. If they replace her and the new one works fine and doesn't have the same issues I will update this review.

Tapo RV20 Max Pro Plus
First purchase for robot vacuum recently. Tested it. Very very good. Can consider getting one to do your daily mopping and vacuuming. The mapping takes a while to do and to figure out where to section those no go zones. But it works well. ๐

Awaiting refund
Lots of issues. I have returned the product and still waiting on my refund.

Out 400 bucks.
Updated review. Unit has started to squeal continuously during use. I reached out to seller who then passed me off to the manufacturer. As the seller is not an authorized dealer of tplink products I will more than likely be SOL. Buy with caution as the seller and manufacturer will probably leave you high and dry if something goes wrong. Purchased to replace a different brand that claimed that it was good for pet hair but came up short. This one works perfect as described.

Didn't work, got a bad build.
DIdn't work. Could not return home (ie. the dock). Could not detect it's at home (even with manual placement) so it could not charge or maintain/hold it. Battery level can report charged at 95% , then in the next 5 minutes, report that it's close to flat 5%. I know that with any robot vacuum even with highly well known/reputable brands, it's possible to always get a faulty model and that's just a fact of life. Returned product and got a refund, decided to buy a more expensive model under different brand instead, (that specialises more on robot vacuums and is known for that to minimise risk). Tapo appears to be a jack of all trades when it comes to the devices they sell, and the support can be hard to get with longer back and forth correspondance via email/forms. Several things that can be considered red/grey flags. At certain locations around the house it seems that wifi connection can be weak through certain walls/corners. The fact that this product with it's accompanying application came in reporting a firmware update to deal with "returning home" issues (can't remember the exact documentation wordings) is very risky. If the firmware failed to install properly maybe due to unstable network connection at the user's home, it could had literally bricked the vacuum. I guess that was what happened could had happened to me and thus couldn't eventually get to install this properly. Again, don't know the reason why or it could had been faulty right at the start of installation.
