African Violet Pots Self Watering Round Ceramic Violet Pot (White, 6 inch)

I got this for one of those little mini orchids that you buy in the grocery store. It comes in such a teeny tiny pot that I almost killed it several times because it would dry out in a couple days. Anyway, I find these African violet pots great for my other orchids. This one has plenty of room For the roots to expand and the reservoir is generous. Probably won’t have to add water more than once a month. Anyway, it was looking pretty sad yesterday and it already looks happier and I just planted it a few minutes ago.Also, in case you’re worried about it, it comes in a box and they have the two pieces separated with Styrofoam so they’re not clanking around in the box. It would really be hard for this to arrive broken unless someone really abused it. It’s very well padded.

So far the planter has been great and violet seems happy in it. Time will tell if I can get my African violet to re-bloom!

I’ve had this for several months and it works very well. I did buy some extra African violet potting soil because the grower’s pot I transferred it from didn’t have enough soil to fill up the insert completely .The quality of the pot and insert are very good and I like how they’ve added new colors!

A self-watering pot must have a hole at the bottom of the inner pot for the wick to go through. These do not. I had to drill the hole myself and had to take the chance of breaking it. Be sure to have a small amount of water in the pot as you drill to keep it cool. Without that, the heat will break the pot. Thankfully I have special drill bits to go through pottery. The pots themselves are really beautiful.

What a stunning and beautiful color. It' arrived well packaged in Styrofoam with no damage and is a solid ceramic self watering plant dish. Its hard to find nice colored pots like this without paying alot and this was alot less then other places. I will see how my violets adapt then will definitely consider getting more colors!
