Album

This is probably the very commercial zenith of PiL's output. This is by no means my favourite PiL album as I favour the earlier material, but for sheer content and design, it takes some beating.The design is a stroke of genius - clever in its simplicity. An album 'is 'Album', a CD 'Compact Disc'...so and so forth. You get the idea.The eight tracks featured on the original release are all strong, well written and performed by consummate professionals including Cream's Ginger Baker - an extra-ordinary collection of musicians. There is no filler or nonsense here - just great tracks.If you're new to PiL, this is quite a good place to start your collection, along with 'Rise: The Collection'.
