Generally good starter book
This book, to use an old cliche, does exactly what it says on the tin. It is a recipe book that contains many recipes which don't have lactose in them, which for someone with lactose intolerance is very helpful. However, the majority of the recipes can be disappointing, as they are generally normal recipes, just with soya products in place of the regular cows milk products, such as milk, butter and cream. The book contains lots of information on milk allergies before going on to the recipes, including notes on general health and a seven day starter guide consisting of recipes in the book, to kick-start the new diet. The recipe section is split into different categories, including breakfasts, soups, fish, meat, desserts, cakes and sauces, among others.Overall, the book is a good addition to the family that has milk allergies, and is a good recipe book for dealing with those. However, for families that already own a general recipe book it would be easier to simply substitute milk, butter and cream for their soya counterparts.

A huge help!
This book has been a huge help, not only does it have great dairy free recipes, but its also explained to me everything about lactose and dairy, that our doctor did not. A brilliant book that's given me great peace of mind for my 1 year old.

Easy to follow - you can even have Chocolate Milkshake!
This book is so easy to use, you can plan out your meals for a week. It caters for the worst case scenario of lactose intolerance. But as I said - you can even make chocolate milkshake - something that I crave now I have been diagnosed lactose intolerant!! A brilliant book.
