Apple 2024 MacBook Pro Laptop with M4 Max, 14‑core CPU, 32‑core GPU: Built for Apple Intelligence, 16.2-inch Liquid Retina XDR Display, 36GB Unified Memory, 1TB SSD Storage; Silver

I’m new to MacBooks after being a Windows user since Windows 98. I was petrified of the change, but I was done with the Microsoft Windows system. My 14 yr old Dell Latitude couldn’t be upgraded. I was so disgusted with the constant problems with updated that negatively impacted programs and peripheral equipment. I was DONE. I started reading about apple computers. I bought an IPad and just got a iPhone and was impressed with both. But Computers are much different, especially coming from Word, Excel, Power Point. There’s a learning curve to be sure. But I decided I would get this Laptop and LEARN IT. It took me a month to open and let it load. I’m 76 Yrs old and change doesn’t come easy to us. I bought books, studied YouTube videos ( on my IPad) and took the plunge. I’M SO HAPPY WITH THIS COMPUTER!!!! It’s light years beyond Windows. It’s So intuitive, fast, neat, clean, and is compatible with my 14 yr old HP Envy printer and scanner. I’m still learning, but Apple makes it a pleasure to use. My IPad and IPhone synced up with it immediately. Everything works in harmony with each other. I bought a Samsung T7 SSD Hard drive as it was already formatted for use with this laptop. Worked seamlessly with Apples built in “TIME MACHINE”. Yes, there are some issues regarding Adobe, word and Excel if you want to use them on an Apple, BUT, they have their own programs that work. I transferred all my important documents, photos, spreadsheets to this computer without any problems. The ONLY negative for me is no Numbers Pad and I’m used to typing on a 17” laptop and this is a 16”. It will take time. I also bought a peripheral numbers pad that plugs into their C port for doing calculations and spreadsheets. The MacBooks lighted keyboard I was a must and I opted for the 1TB storage and 36GB memory M4 Max chip. It does work with my old Windows Outlook Email Account. Only regret… I didn’t get a MacBook Pro Max sooner

I've had this for 3 months now and absolutely love it. This is the first MacBook I have purchased for myself, and after many years of using Windows (high-end) laptops, I find myself asking why I waited so long. I never had a problem with Windows, but this thing is at a different level. Everything about it, from battery life, performance, how fast it boots up, the display, build quality, audio, etc., just blows away every other laptop I have owned. It took a little getting used to switching, but honestly, it's not all that different. I have no problem now going back and for as needed.

All expectations exceed — in terms of design, performance, screen quality, battery life, and ability to play video games even!

Moving from an M1 Max to the M4 Max shouldn’t have been anything sensational. I mean, I’m a relatively general user, with some web browsing, some photo editing, etc being the norm. However, the performance uplift is nothing short of sensational. Apps open and run just that much more quickly, I really enjoy the noticeable uplift in Wi-Fi speed with 6E, and the screen on this latest MacBook is much better than on the M1 Max that I had in that the pixel response time is noticeably improved. That was a complaint I had when I originally got my M1 Max 16” back in 2021 because pixels would smear more noticeably when scrolling. This issue is massively minimized on this new laptop. Should everybody upgrade like I did? Well, that’s a tricky question… Probably not? It’s more of a want than a need. But if you’d like an upgrade, this really is a very fast one. 5 out of 5.

FAST! A little heavy, and it's odd seeing the old style ports back again. Wish it had more USC-C ports. The screen is a fingerprint magnet, but is crystal clear and brighter than my 2019 MacBook Pro. It's powerful, quiet, looks great, Really enjoying it. And the price was better than buying direct from Apple.

I got this macbook and all I can say is that it has changed my workflow. THE BATTERY LAST A LONG TIME!
