Let me start by saying this device isn't for everyone. Given its a Chinese device, and the USA embagoing them from using full Android, there is no google play on here, no google services at all. So, as it is, out of the box, you have a very limited device. Huawei have their own store, but none of the apps you use will be on it. So unless your willing to tinker, your SOL. However you can side load google stuff using some APK's, but even then not all apps can be loaded (eg: MS Outlook, Opera Browser). That said, for what I'm wanting it for it has worked like a charm. Took me a day to get everything installed and set up, a few hiccups here and there, but nothing to agonising. For this price point you wont find better. First lets talk about the keyboard, one of the strong points but also a weakness. As keyboards go this is really nice to type on. I had no problems adapting to it(and even this review was written on it. The keys have a nice travel, and nice feel to them. The trackpad is a bit small, but gets the job done. It's also a glass pad, which gets extra points from me. It also has a rather nice slot for the pen, and whilest keeping it safe, will also charge it as well. Now for the negative, no back lighting at all. Which means as the day goes on your going to need to have a light on to see the keys. Working at night without a light, or even in low light is going to be a pain in the rear. As for using the tablet, as i said at this price point(i paid £380) you wont find something as well built or as snappy. It's very responsive, moving through screens lightning fast. Screen is at that sweet spot, 12" is just about on the edge of being to large to use as a tablet, but still small enough to be very portable. This ties with the light weight makes it an easy carry, even one handed. As with all these devices, the keyboard adds a good chunk of weight, but still not overly heavy. The screen is superb, amazing for watching movies, and the PapperMatte finish means you don't get any screen glare. It's also fully useable, even in direct sunlight. Sound quality is pretty spot on. Though not as good as the MatePad12X with it's 6 speakers, the 4 speakers here give enough oomph to easily make up for the missing 2 speakers. Though yes, those missing 2 are indeed missed! It comes with 512GB of storage, which is essential as there is no micro sd slot, which is a great shame. I have already fill over half of it with my Kindle and Audible books! Overall a great little device!

Previously I'd been an enthusiastic Huawei owner due to the superior build quality of their products. When the US ban came in restricting access to Google Play Services (and other suppliers) I stopped buying Huawei. However this tablet, and all I had heard about it, peaked my curiosity and I decided to take the plunge again. What a great decision! This tablet is everything I could have hoped for and much more. The screen is brilliant and the sound is the best I've ever heard. The build quality is fantastic and the keyboard works a treat. The Snapdragon 865 processor and 6gb ram gives me the same speed and performance as my i7 laptop. And as for the embargo on apps? It seems the suppliers have come up with their own workaround by uploading the apk files to numerous platforms. Of course you lose the automatic update function of Playstore but that's hardly an issue. For my favourite apps like Keep and Google Calendar I use the Web versions shortcut to my homescreen. They load perfectly, easily as fast as the app versions and work just the same. This brilliant device is also great value for money. Trust me, I'm fussy as heck and I can't fault my Matepad 11.

I am currently in rahabilitation following a fairly major operation, so this tablet is a major lifeline for me. Using it mainly for video play, the screen is quite bright at low level settings, the sound is pretty clear with some power behind it. the Perl search app is great for finding alternative sites for app downloads, and so far I've had no problems with that regard.

Got this for tablet for Xmas and love it, Fantastic double oled screen, 2000 nits peak brightness and Matt nano technology surface that is great at stopping reflections, 7 nanometer processing with 12 gig of ram is more than enough unless a power user (99.9% of people are not) it’s perfect for watching YouTube or Netflix emails ect, apps which are very easy to side load , google services work fine despite operating system being Harmony OS, the included nearlink keyboard is great,I got the Huawei 3 pen for £47 on line and the second generation nearlink mouse for £41 and an Anker 100w charger for £23, making this a fantastic deal in comparison to apple equivalent iPad,nearlink is great much better than Bluetooth and perfect for the internet of things I have Huawei watches phone, I have an older iphone 12, I got the original iPhone the day it came out and like apple products, there service is great but prices are poor they are vastly over priced imo, Huawei are the Chinese equivalent with better cameras, I am into photography and like my dslr and medium format film cameras, I do like the moment lens for the iPhone. to sum up, if you need the status symbol buy an iPad Pro if you want great value and equivalent quality by the Huawei you will not regret it 😜

Managed to configure the tablet with replcement apps including Firefox, Musicolet, Wnatsapp and Protonmail. Smooth as butter with premium specs Ipads can only dream about. Way more advanced with no google, facebook or other privacy compromising apps. Removed most of the bloatware that Huawei installed that requires my acceptance to T and C's. My digital footprint has shrunk significantly. My dream device sparkles like no other. Recommended.

being a techno phobe, I was advised this would be good value, but I find it incredibly difficult to navigate and after going around in circles trying to add a security app I find this is not an Android but a Harmony O S, this basically means nothing to me other than it does not like Google and many apps will not load, so be very wary unless you know what to expect with this type of tablet

I was very circumspect about purchasing from a brand I had never used before with a completely new OS and it's own applications. However, I am really pleased with it in quality, function and value for money. Mostly, it is being used for word processing and other fairly simple things, I'm not using it for graphic art or anything like that but it does seem to have the capability and the m-pencil is not only efficient but feels nice to hold and has a good weight and balance to it (it also comes with different tips to create other effects) the keyboard is thin and light yet also sturdy, wrapping around the device as a clamshell protective cover. The whole thing feels compact but substantial, magnetising together to carry as a unit. I found the functions easy to figure out (historically I preferred android to apple, but now I like this better than either) and it charges swiftly on a new style USB cable. Compatible with O365, and a friendly online support community.

I like the tablet it is very useful. I know its system not like ios or android but huawei system is not bad. But I don’t like battery life

Never had a doubt with Huawei Brand! This tablet is just perfect for me who loves to watch movies/series! The screen is clear,i love the sounds and the memory card slot is a plus! I received the keyboard but the M-Pencil is missing. But nevertheless this tablet is worth every penny!
