Salad Days

Beautiful album! Was a little bummed thought my favorite song chamber of reflection was warped. All the other songs played ok. I would return but I already downloaded the songs. Wish I could replace it.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my husband. My son listens to Mac and we heard his unusual music style and were hooked. Regardless of your age (we're in our 50s), you will enjoy his ununsual musical style. It's easy to listen to. Highly recommend!

Salad Days are here again. Great album! Mac comes back with an incredible compliment to his impressive "2". This time he adds a little more synths but in a tasteful and not alienating way. I appreciate his amazing guitar skills and the very distinct and jangly guitar tone that everyone loved from "2". Selected Highlights: Chamber of Reflection, Brother, Salad Days, Blue Boy. Not so highlights: Let My Baby Stay, Go Easy. Great album highly recommended!

Such a great album. I could listen to it for hours. Mac Demarco is a great musician from the recent years. I love the vintage aesthetic his songs have, and this album is a prime example of how great his work is. I don't like it when people say "Music today sucks" and generalize all music made in the recent years. Yes everyone is entitled to their opinion, but there IS a lot of great music that has come out from recent years, you just gotta look and really explore genres, you can't just take what the radio or Top 100 charts give you. Mac Demarco is no exception. He's a great musician and he's a cool and funny dude. If you're one of the many people that think there's no good musicians out there today, I recommend you get this album. I got it on vinyl, and I love it. It even comes with a cool poster that I'm gonna hang up in my room. I would recommend getting this if you love Mac Demarco, or if you want to start listening to Mac Demarco.

This album is the soundtrack to my Summers, it has such a nice chill vibe and I love it.

Passing out Pieces seems to be many Mac fans' favorite tune, and this is where it resides. But there's a lot more to enjoy here with sparkly guitars, beautiful poppy melodies and great lyrics. Mac has further developed his style from "2" on this one with great results.

Compared to his last album, 2, this sounds very similar. That's alright for me tho because Mac's sound is something quite unique these days. It's so mellow and enjoyable to listen to, and you get the sense that Mac is just one awesome dude you'd want to get to know. Aside from the music itself, the vinyl is of exceptional quality. Considering the price of records these days, and what you get, this was a VERY nice surprise- A beautiful gatefold with very cool artwork, a poster inside, in addition to an inner sleeve with custom artwork (not a generic white sleeve).
