Can’t recommend
I prepped the area where I was planting this seed (added a layer of topsoil, starter fertilizer and Gypsum). I then spread the seed and covered with straw. I’ve been watering twice daily and it’s been in the upper 80’s here...not one single sprout.

A GREAT PRODUCT!
In my yard I have Bermuda grass that seems to have bare areas that need some additional help. I like to be able to over seed my lawn to make it much more thicker. I see new areas of grass coming up with a lush green Bermuda grass. I live in the deep south and we've had a very dry Summer, so after I threw the grass seed on my lawn I added sand to give the grass an area to connect to, what a difference it has made on my lawn. Living in a gated community it is very important that my lawn looks well taken care of, and by using Pennington Bermuda seed my lawn has never looked better. This is a good product and deserves 5 stars

Grass looks great.
This was a great product. I live in north Texas and it's just starting to be the correct temperature for growth. I killed all of my front yard with round up in late February and order my grass send in April. I put out the grass seed mid April and I have a full yard of grass, and it's only been one month.

If you want grass grown from seed, go elsewhere.
Went to a lot of work to plant this seed and I think I see 5 grass seedlings mixed in with the weeds that all the watering encouraged to grow. I followed the ground prep instructions meticulously. I loosened an inch of soil. Laid the seed, Smoothed it over covering the seeds with an eighth in of soil. I even added some Turf builder new lawn fertilizer (also not giving a good review). Planted it all in mid may in the Daytona area of Florida so the temps were perfect. I then watered them with timed sprinklers every 6 hours for an hour, so 4 hours of watering per day(really hated wasting that water.) At the end of 21 days I had nice green patches of weeds and where the weeds didn't grow the ground was still bear. Next time I spend the money on sod. This was a total waste of time, money, and water.

Has to be The Best.
Seeded yard Oct.17 in the rain, I had raked up the bare areas prior to the rain and was waiting for some rain to get a good start. It is now Nov.4 and I Have gotten an excellent response. Have been getting plenty of rain, I also have about 60 gallons of stored rain water that I use when there is no rain. I just use a hand held watering can and water in the very early mourning. Although the grass is still very small it feels hearty and I'm excited . I used 10 pounds on 800 square feet and I have bought 5 more pounds to use. where I started late and had to do some trimming to allow more sun light in a couple of area's. I'm gonna heavily seed the spots with poor response and put a little sand over the seed. To me rain water is the trick city water is not very good for growing things. This part of my lawn has always been a problem if anyone is reading this they can see that I am trully excited. I expect this Bermuda grass to take over this part of my yard by this time next year.

Grew as advertised when following instructions
Sowed the grass in during late fall by falling the instructions on the bag. Within 2-3 weeks new grass was coming up. Seeded prior to a Fall shower 'scalping' the lawn beforehand.
