Works very well and arrived the next day. The readings are consistent and easy to understand, and the device is simple to use even for beginners. It comes with everything you need, and the quality feels reliable. Overall, a very good glucose meter and definitely worth the purchase.

Nice blood glucoses monitor. It came with instructions that were easy to follow. This is my firsst blood glucose monitor and I fiugred it out fine. Everything worked as I expected and the results were quick.

Very intuitive to use, good price and the strips aren’t stupid expensive either. I assume it’s accurate compared to other meters. Battery life is good. Nice that it syncs with a smartphone.

We tried another brand when a second person was diagnosed in the house. Nope! Was not accurate. We switched back and ordered this again. The readings align with the bloodwork everytime.

Sadly I just got diabetes and this is the first kit I bought. Comes with a very nice case that everything fits in. The actual machine is very simple to use and tells you everything you need to know step-by-step. The instructions are long but not that bad to understand. I'm very glad I bought this unit. I needed sample and that's what this unit is. The quality seems good and the supplies they give you are very nice as well.

In May 2024 my bloodwork had finally entered full-blown diabetes. Thanks to Mounjaro, massive weight loss, and a better diet, my testing is back in the normal range. Blood glucose testing was not ordered by my doctor, at my June checkup he asked if I ever do it. The wearable sensors are supposedly better, but expensive. So I checked product reviews from independent testing labs and decided to try the Ascensia CONTOUR NEXT GEN Blood Glucose Monitoring System. The testing kit had two separate sets of instructions for the lancet and the meter, which was intimidating at first. In reality, this testing kit is super easy to use. The meter activates when you insert a single-use test strip. A disposable lancet is inserted into a spring-loaded pen, and an almost unnoticeable finger prick produces a drop of blood. The test strip soaks up the drop of blood and the monitor processes almost instantly. Just like that. Super easy. The whole set fits into a small carrying case that comes with the starter kit, and would easily fit in a shaving kit, backpack, purse, or suitcase. I have no way to assess the accuracy, but independent testing agencies as well as users of multiple products report it being within a low percentage of deviation. Good enough for my use. Replacement test strips are not expensive, which is appreciated.

After reading some of the bad reviews, was unsure about this purchase. However, in researching this meter, it did score high so I decided to give it a try. Before this purchase, I was using an old CVS model. It was right-on when comparing meter results against lab results. But because it was an older model, thought I should upgrade. I did get everything I was supposed to in the package. Some people mentioned they didn’t get this or that. Not sure why. Right away, I was able to figure out the meter almost without referring to the instructions. User friendly. I like the size of the meter—not too small. And the # results are very clear to see. I like the microlet lancets in that they deliver a minimal prick, and the lancet device is easy to use. I checked the blood droplet on the new meter against the old and the results were only a few points off. I did this for three days and got similar results for both meters. I did notice one day that if you didn’t push the stick into the meter all the way, of course, it wouldn’t read. The sticks aren’t firm so you have to be gentle but constant to make sure the stick reaches the end. It would be nice if they had a bit more meat on them. But they work. Thus 4 stars. I do like that it syncs to your phone. I’m not a technical wizard but I do like all the current technology. The syncing program isn’t particularly fancy but it keeps a record, and will give you an average. When it comes time for my next A1c, it will be interesting to see if the lab average matches the Contour average. The little black bag is useless to me. They are never big enough. UPDATE. Have had the glucose meter now for almost a month. I do like it. Not a problem with the sticks—like I said—gentle but constant. When I first got it, I played around with the app to understand all that it has to offer. It takes a few days to a week to clearly figure it out. Very nice. It records when you stick, the results and the average. Nice colorful images. A1c time will tell… Definitely would recommend. Changed from 4 stars to 5.
