Quality feel & build, can't vouch for accuracy, but after checking with 2 sound meters, seems accurate.

Class 1, I doubt it...
I needed a replacement quickly, so chose this unit. It is simple to use and I use an adapter from a previous calibrator for my mics. I have no way to measure how accurate it is, but my mics are consistent with other calibrated mics in the field so assume pretty close. It says class 1, but surely not at this price range?

Scheint korrekt zu funktionieren
Ich habe mich für dieses Produkt entschieden, weil es im Vergleich zu anderen Produktion im gleichen Preissegment die Optionen sowohl für 1/2"-Zoll sowie 1"-Zoll Mikrofone/Messgeräte bietet. Ich besitze 3 Schallpegelmessgeräte, welche ich noch nie kalibriert bzw. überprüft habe: - Voltcraft / RadioShack Sound Level Meter (analog), 1"-Mikrofon - Monacor SM-2 (digital), 1/2"-Mikrofon - Amprobe SM-10 (digital), 1/2"-Mikrofon Die ersten Messergebnisse waren recht ermutigend: - Voltcraft / RadioShack Sound Level Meter (analog): stimmte exakt (+/- 0,3 dB) - Monacor SM-2 (digital), 1/2"-Mikrofon: stimmte einigermassen (+/- 1 dB) - Amprobe SM-10 (digital), 1/2"-Mikrofon: stimmte exakt (+/- 0,3 dB) Ich darf daher mit einer gewissen Wahrscheinlichkeit davon ausgehen, dass dieser Kalibrator selbst ausreichend genau kalibriert wurde. Wichtig ist, dass man darauf achtet, dass das jeweilige Mikrofon fest und bis zum Anschlag in der Kalibrator-Öffnung steckt. Es hat einen dünnen Gummiring zwei, drei Millimeter davor, welcher einen glauben lässt, dieser sei der Anschlag. Dem ist aber nicht so, dieser Gummiring muss mit sanftem Druck mit dem Mikrofon durchstossen werden bis zum dahinter liegenden endgültigen Anschlag. Wenn man nicht darauf achtet und das Mikro nicht wirklich fest einführt, sondern beim Gummiring aufhört ergibt sich durch den ca. 3mm grösseren Abstand ein Messfehler von ca. 2dB!

Drains the battery, questionable stability over time.
Even when turned off, it drains the batteries with ~1mA. So after each use, you have to remove the battery. Stability over time is questionable. When new, my UMIK-1 and an SPL meter readings were within 0.5dB of the 94dB level. Now, both are 3 dB off on both high and low level. So I'm afraid this calibrator is less stable than the measurement mics to be calibrated with this device.

Al desmontar el sonometria para calibrarlo la unión a la placa con los cables de la batería se sueltan de la soldadura
