BN-LINK Outdoor 24-Hour Mechanical Timer Outlet, 2 Grounded Outlets

I picked this timer up to automate some outdoor equipment, and overall I'm really happy with it. It feels sturdy, the weatherproof cover is nice, and it's been working as expected. The only thing that threw me off at first was the setup. The instructions and dial can seem a little confusing if you've never used a mechanical timer before. I had to spend a few minutes figuring out how the tabs and current time line up. Once it clicked, though, it was incredibly simple to use. After the initial setup, changing the schedule only takes a few seconds.

This is the best gadget in the world! Inexpensive, works just as promised. I like this one vs the digital, once you press the buttons down, they do not need to be reset if there is a power outage, only the time needs to be reset. Read the instructions, you must first pop all the buttons up, then depress the ones for the time you want the power on. I love this do much I bought 2 more.

Easy to set, works great.

I got this for my outdoor lights and it works exactly as expected. Setup was straightforward and the timer does its job without any fuss. It’s been outside in the weather and seems to handle moisture and rain just fine. The only downside is the two outlets are pretty close together, so I couldn’t plug in two wider plugs at the same time. Not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of. Overall, solid timer and does what it’s supposed to.

This is the second one I have bought of these. I used one all of last winter, and it is still working fine this year, so I got another one. I like the specific programmable feature, in 15 minute intervals for the whole 24 hours. The other timer we had on our outdoor lights was more expensive and has fewer options. This one I have to change as sunset/sunrise change, but I can set it to come on both night and morning. That way the neighbors can be cheered as they drive to work in the dreary dark mornings, without spending electricity all night long. I have it placed up under the eaves, with the drip loop of cord underneath it, so don't know if it is completely waterproof, but it still gets quite damp from blowing rain or snow, and has had no problems. When you install it, make sure you set the time on the mechanical dial, so the lights come on at the times you want. Use the instructions if you can understand them, if not: 1. Set time by twisting the whole dial. Time is indicated by the gray arrow on the moveable disk. Around the disk has 2 colors: white is daylight hours, gray is dark hours; so white day half is 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and vice versa. 2. Set times you want lights to turn on by pushing DOWN the little gray/black pins. If you push more by mistake, lift back up with fingernail. The white side is roughly daylight, dark side is approximate night hours. Close cover. 3. Plug your strings of lights into the 2 grounded outlets on the end of the timer. 4. Plug it into your grounded outlet with the timer part hanging down. Make sure there is a loop of cord from the lights that is lower than the timer, to allow moisture to drip off and not make its way into the outlets. The clock does not start running until you plug it in, so take that into account when you set the time. 5. Ta-da! Enjoy your lights without turning switches on or off, or plugging and unplugging cords.

Sometimes you just need to use the KISS methodology. Keep it simple stupid. I use this on my 1.5HP pool pump to alternate powering on and off on 2 hour intervals vs running strictly at night or day to cut back on power usage. The mechanical timer works perfect. The digital timers would not allow for this configuration. All of the digital timers seemed to be a set time on and set time off but no ability to go intermittent. The adjustments on this timer allow for more control and flexibility the old fashioned way.

This heavy-duty outdoor timer has worked great for my camper lights. I can set the lights to automatically come on at dusk and turn off at dawn, which is very convenient and saves on electrical costs. It was very easy to set up and use, and I really like the 30-minute interval settings for flexibility. The two outlets are also very handy. Overall, I think this is a great value for the money and I’m very happy with this purchase.

Works as it should, nice and simple to use , No LED screens just set the dial and that's it. Simple is good in my eyes !! Using it for block heater so time will tell . 1 thing which is a me problem . There is a switch and one way it says ON . I was not thinking i thought ON was turning timer on, But the on switch means it's on all the time. Like an over ride for the timer . Once I understood that it works perfect . Again nice and simple for an old person :)
