Fit Filter
At first, I couldn’t get the filter to fit in the bracket guides that are in the filter unit. After playing with it for several minutes, I discovered that the unit itself had some type of plastic bar in the guide brackets — perhaps for the old filter. I removed it and was able to slide the filter into the bracket guides to stabilize the fit. Shut the back door of the unit and off and running once again.

SAME QUALITY AS BRAND NAME
These replacement air filters are easy to install, include an additional carbon booster and after a few weeks testing, they have proved to be as effective and long-lasting as the Holmes brand filters that we previously used for our filter. Why pay more? These do the job and then some!

Exactly what we needed
This pack fit our two Holmes small room air purifiers exactly. We are using the Holmes HAP242B-U, and this filter and carbon booster pack fit exactly in the space provided. It keeps the room smelling fresh and clean, and with asthmatic kids, this is VERY important to us.

these have the exact same number of baffles as the stock ones at less than half the price
this came with double the carbon filters needed. maybe by changing them out the main filter will last longer. Another reviewer said there were less baffless in these than the stock, that is not true I have included pics of both sides to compare.If these dont last as long as the stock filters or they last alot longer I will modify the review.

Great product
We purchased these filters for our sons air purifier in his bedroom. The machine was running loudly prior to switching the filters. Changing the filters drastically reduced the noise of the air purifier. We have checked the filter and are amazed how much dust it has already taken in. Great buy with fast shipping. Will definitely purchase again.

Fit well but don’t clean as long as originals.
We got these for the low price. They work, but they don’t have as many pleats or as thick if filter material as the original filters so they don’t last as long before.

Although I've only used the filter for a few weeks at this point, I have been pleased with the quality. It seems like the air is well filtered, leading to fresher air coming out of my Holmes HAP412N air purifier. I would recommend this replacement filter for anyone looking to save some money without compromising quality in the process.

easy to install. fit snuggly, price reasonable at half the cost of name brand. having the carbon booster is great. I spray Lysol on filters before installing. The laundry sent freshens room quickly.
