Sleek Make Up True Colour Lipstick Russian Roulette 3.5g

I purchased this in the hopes of getting some goth lipstick. I should have listened to the reviews. As many other reviewers said, this is not purple. This is red. Far too red for just a bad photo to make it look purple. It's still dark enough to look goth and a few of my friends have commented I look like a vampire but I can't give a high star rating to something that has clearly either used the wrong photo or the photo has been taken with the camera on a mobile phone. I do recommend it but only if you're looking for dark red. This is not purple in the slightest.EDIT: It's my own fault I thought it was purple. I didn't read the description properly, it does specifically say red. I was confused as it came up as the top result for my search of "Dark purple lipstick." However, it is still a very different colour from the picture. I have increased my rating (From two stars to four stars) and will probably be buying again.

I love this lipstick so much! I purchased this because I wanted Heroine by Mac but wasn't sure whether or not I suited purple lipsticks so thought I'd buy a cheaper alternative first and I am so glad I did as it is an amazing lipstick! It also arrived before the expected delivery date which was great, the only downside is that the image isn't really true to colour, however that didn't really matter to me as I always look at online images/swatches and reviews before buying makeup anyway, if not for the image I would have given this five stars.

So, for £5 I was expecting a slightly bigger stick and not something that felt tester like. It was palm size so, although I'm not usually the type to buy lipstick that small for that price, I'm not compaining because the colour looks exactly like the picture and on skin, it comes out a beautiful dark fushia kind of colour. It smudges a little when first applied, but I've had it on my hand for the last few hours and despite sleep and whatnot, there's still a faint line, so, I'm hopeful that it'll have the same result on my lips.

I chose this lipstick as it looked like an usual purple matte shade, but in reality when it turned up it was more of a very bright matte cerise. I don't mind too much as it is a lovely shade still and probably more wearable. Very nice matte effect and goes on well and lasts hours. If you want to see Amped in its true form check on the Sleek website before you buy it as it is definitely not purple.

A really pretty purple, not electric like in the picture but I went by pictures on Google and I'm glad I did as the shade was represented accurately. The product photos on amazon often don't do makeup colours any justice. It is matte but not 100% as it has a small amount of tiny glitter pieces in it. It goes on very smoothly and isn't drying but the tube is tiny!

I read some of the other reviews and so my hope weren't too high, but actually the only downside to this lipstick is that it is a bit chalky to put on. It nevertheless does not dry my lips out and it lasts for hours and doesn't smudge a millimetre! The colour isn't as purple as I was hoping for, but it's still lovely and deep and unique. I would recommend this lipstick, especially for the price.
