Debrett's Etiquette for Girls

A nice modern-looking book with lots of style which you can give to a daughter or a granddaughter without incurring snorts of derision. Some very helpful hints in plausible contexts, and just lovely to look at. .

Its what I expected (as with Gombrich and Dega) thats why I bought them. Haven't read all of it yet - a dryer more formal read. It's probably what Carol Middleton bought for flaky Katie to snare her toff; prefer 'Peas & Queues' more entertaining.

This book was bought as a present for my sixteen year old daughter. Do take some of the advice with a pinch of salt, though. More fun than factual.

This book is al right but most of the time says how you should behave in society like a good citizen. So, this book is also for men. You can find little technical things but no diagrams, no technical stuff. It annoys me sometimes the usage of poetry to convey the message...just be straight... VERY DISAPPOINTING. I'm glad I bought this on sale....

I really wish this was as good as the gentlemans guide which is really marvellous- The detail is a little lacking by comparison and not nearly as compelling-like many other readers I agree there wasnt too much detail here and perhaps not a great deal of new material.Perhaps it would suit a younger reader as a gift.

very good book well worth having. Very informative. Could refer back to this when unsure of an occasion. photography good as well.

I bought this book after watching a program called how to be a lady, etiquette is a subject that interests me. This book is full of tips and advice on how to dress, behave around male company and more. It also had me laughing out loud and I couldn't wait to read on and find out more.

The wife loved it. She didn't put it down from the moment she picked it up to the moment she finished it.
