Works great to stop a cold before it takes hold

This really helps if you start taking it right when you feel the first signs of a cold

I've been taking Yin Chiao for decades now, and I used to buy the brands made in mainland China. Those tend to be sugar coated and the quality is far lower than these. You can taste and smell the difference in the herbs here. Dr. Shen's is made in the USA and it's the best quality Yin Chiao I've tried. I've been only using this brand for the past several years now, and it's been working very well.

When I feel the least bit out of sorts, I reach for Dr. Shen and hope for the best. Sure enough, the best arrives. I am well and not sick. I dodged the cold.

I was given this by a previous coworker who traveled a ton over the years. Long story short - he was a super healthy guy and he did not believe in magic pills, etc. He saw me come into the office, had sniffles/cough/etc and he reached into his bag and gave me about 6 of these, told me when to take them. I was feeling miserable already. He said it would help clear it up. I was out of town visiting the office so I really just wanted this cold to go away so I took them, but I honestly felt that it was a worthless cause. 24 hours later, I was 90% better. I thought it was luck of the draw. Went back home later that week and got sick the next month from my small children and thought of these pills. I decided to buy some on a wim to test it out. Next time I felt that tickle in the back of my throat I took some as directed and sure enough. No cold. I've been doing this for close to the last year and I have not got a full blown cold. I've been through the most stressful time I can remember in a long time over the last 4 months and each time I felt a cold trickling down my throat or had sniffles, BAM... Yin Chiao to the rescue. It has worked every time. It's worked so well that my wife called me a quack and then noticed I was not getting sick from the kids anymore. She now asks where they're at when she's getting sick. TLDR; - I thought this was quack medicine/herbs, but from my personal testing - it works great.

OK, the headline set a high standard ... and while there is no cure for the common cold/flu ... this product is the closest thing to it I've ever used. It will NOT *always* stop a cold/flu - but it will: 1) delay the onset 24-72 hours, 2) actually stop the cold/flu, or 3) provide two-three hours per dose of symptom relief the first half of a cold/flu. I've found two "tricks" to actually stopping the cold ... the first is to take this AT THE FIRST sign. Every time I wonder about "was that a casual sneeze - or a pre-cold sneeze" - and waited - I got the cold eventually. The second trick is to actually take it every three hours. Do NOT wait four hours trying to stretch it out with meals. It doesn't upset my tummy at all - so there's no excuse for me. I don't know about you but colds always seem to hit at the most inconvenient times - and buying a day or two makes a HUGE difference in being able to actually rest a few days to get healthy again. I would give this 10 stars on a five star scale if I could. Miracle and lifesaver are not overstatements. I believe they make another product for when you actually end up catching the cold/flu - which I tried before and it didn't even eliminate symptoms - but this formula it GOLD. Would be worth several times the price (and is 2-3 times the price in Whole Foods and other similar stores.)

Not yet positive it works but my school teacher daughter swears by it so I bought it because I had just gotten over four weeks of that truly terrible flu and I didn't want to ever get sick again. Ten days after the flu I felt myself getting sick feeling again with a bad cough so I took the Dr. Shen's, three immediately and then three more four hours later. By night I was feeling well again so for me it seemed to help, perhaps just a placebo effect, but I would use it again foresure if I start feeling ill again. The seller of the product I bought was fast in shipping and the price was the best I could find and my daughter, who bought hers in a health food store, paid much more for hers. It is the real product and recently produced according to the bottle bottom.
