it's now Tuesday night and this amazing album is filling my speakers
Been searching for years for what I couldn't stop whistling as a kid. Had no idea what it was: Kraftwerk, I suspected, or Jean Michelle Jarre. No luck on Youtube ... so I whistled it into my phone and stuck it on facebook .... hey presto ... 'Magic Fly' by Space. That was Sunday ... it's now Tuesday night and this amazing album is filling my speakers. Many thanks Amazon ... and the music is just superb: even better than I thought as an 8 year old. If you like New Order .... you will love this album. Track 5, of course, is just an all time classic and you won't EVER get it out of your head. Exceptional stuff! Very nice packaging, too with a little booklet and fancy artwork. The music hasn't dated whatsoever. Just buy!!!!!!

Can Anything Good Come Out Of France?
Well there is Oxygene by Jean Michel Jarre from 1976 for a start. Not far behind in 1977 came Magic Fly by Space. While the former is an ambiant type concept album, Magic Fly's tracks can be taken seperately and are more of a European disco type. What both share is they are top class examples of early electronic music. My copy was remastered in 2007 and I particularly enjoy the title track, Fasten Seat Belt, Ballad For Space Lovers, Tango In Space and Flying Nightmare. There are 7 bonus tracks which just turn out to be the whole of their third album, Just Blue, from a couple of years later. My choice of tracks are the title track, Secret Dreams, Symphony (which is partly vocal)and Blue Tears. The other vocal tracks are in the Donna Summer/Georgio Morroder style. The cover shows the band in space suits and they are certainly having fun making this outstanding recording, I recommend it very highly.

Space - a rediscovery
Have not had this item to play for decades, and rediscovering it is a joy. I'm a teenager again that had just seen Star Wars!! I remember cranking up the volume when my parents were out, and spacing out.

70's classic
I bought this LP when i first left home to start work in a live-in job aged 16 1977...my room mate and I would play it full belt!! the next day our Boss called us up (we thought we were in for grilling)..instead he insisted on getting the title for himself..he was probably then not much older than my age now ..(old!!) It's as good now as was then!!!!!! never dreamt I'd own it again!! BRILLIANT !!!!!!
