Great DVD, great Band.
This is one awesome DVD! Cram packed full of their greatest hits, past and kind of present (up to Californication) witnessing this DVD will make you see that the Chili Peppers are with out doubt one of the most talented and skillful bands in the world. You'll drool at the Fusciante's and Flea's solos and Chad's excellent drum pieces (watch out for his solo, its bad and I don't mean bad as in not good!). Keidis' has a beautiful voice live, and to say his dancing is good is a understatement. The energy and dedication (see the interview and backstage) they put into this performance is amazing, with flea and Fusciante funking about all over the stage to hits like "Give it Away". Not to be missed for "Under the Bridge" (timeless classic), and the hiliarious goings on in the last song "Me and My Friends"- watch what Chad gets on him, and how Anthony reacts! My only problem with this DVD is that it is fairly obvious that the clips have been put together from different performances (look at Chad's clothes and Anthony's hair), but this is hardly noticable. The Chili Peppers totally changed my taste in music, opened me up to new horizons, and this DVD confirms that they are one of the greatest bands not only in todays world, but also of all time.

Superb music, magical band chemistry, early days but still fantastic to hear.
Here's a chance to catch up on the sounds & atmosphere of a Classic Band In The Making. I was late to the party with the Chili's, 20 yrs ago, though I'd seen festival slots on TV, and really enjoyed myself. I've several CDs of theirs, but am glad I took this opportunity to delve further back as well.

Great show from a great era
The californication era is the one I prefer the most. The band was at their high point. With John back on board, the band took off once again and proved everybody wrong who didn't believe in them. I prefer this concert to any other officially released rhcp show, because Flea still had a huge part in bands sound, which changed a lot after their next album and the whole band just rocker more than in the later years.

What a concert
This was recorded straight after the release of Californacation and captures the band at a pivotal moment in their career. Great concert full of energy and lots of songs from the blood sugar sex magic album as well

Worth buying for Search and Destroy alone
This is a truly great concert recording showing the talents and pure energy of 4 great musicians. The cover of Search and Destroy (one of the extras)is awesome - 11 great minutes that I never want to end. Just thinking about it raises the hairs on the back of my neck! The pre-show footage and interviews are worthwhile too, giving some insights to the deeper side of this band. Buy - it won't disappoint.

Dvd damaged.
The performance is good but the dvd hangs after a couple of songs. There's no way to watch further through the concert.

Great Performance(s)
This DVD, as mentioned, captures the final night of the dominating Californication tour, putting the Chili's back on the map after the diabolical spell between Under the Bridge and the return to form after One Hot Minute. However, it isn't one show. Throughout the show, and even actual songs, the background changes from cloth, to televisions, to this unusual circular pattern, Chad (drums) repatedly appearsd without and then with hat, and starngely enough, John (guitar) underpants which protude from the top of his pants change colour.Don't let this deter you. Any doubts you had about the musical ability of this band can be easily expelled with this DVD, featuring stunning performances of classic songs such as Pea, Scar Tissue, Under the Bridge, Californication, Give it Away and many more. Also we see superb solos from all 3 instrumentalist, with Flea's ultra fast fingers delight the audience. The pure beauty of the Chili's stage performance is taken away from by the picture quality. This downfall, which stops it reciving full stars, is viewed as if been recorded on a home video recorder, colours fading into one another, and cannot be compared to more recent Music concert DVD's (Muse - Hullabaloo springs to mind as being superb quality). However, if you can forgive this, you are in for a real treat.
