These are the best screws I've ever used. All my screwdriver bits (drill, electric and manual) grip well to the heads and they never wear away like some cheaper screws do so you don't lose the ability to unscrew them at a later date if you need to. I've used these to screw chipboard down in my loft and when replacing some flooring. No need to pre drill holes because the tips are very sharp, they drive in very easily. They are really good quality and I highly recommend.

They may not have a very "PC" name, but you can't go wrong with Spax - there's a reason your builder uses them (and why builders merchants sell them). These 30mm screws don't need pre-drilling in all but the flimsiest material. There's not much to the humble screw, other than a razor sharp tip so that it can start to make a hole in a bit of hardwood - not 3mm away from where you want, but right when you want. The screw threads are specifically designed to cut into the wood, whilst the shank displaces it. The "width" of the thread determines how many turns it'll take to get it in fully. You can get all this from other manufacturers, so if you know one, then go buy their stuff by all means. If you're not sure though, then save yourself a world of time and hassle and buy these. They're good and they're the same every time you buy them.

Screws well

A wood screw seems to be a simple thing but the technology is actually quite high with various types over the years with different styles of head and shank. This is a decent fixing. The screw is well made and the Pozi drive is sharp and holds a bit well. When using it, it drives in fast with minimal damage to the wood either with or without a pilot hole. Overall a decent screw for the money.

I am a fan of SPAX screws. These are no exception. Drive well into wood and are a good price.

Used for replacing individual pieces of fencing after storms. They are perfect for the job and so easy to use. Excellent delivery time and really good value for money. I would also buy them again

Cogí estos tornillos por la relación calidad/precio que tenían. No son los más económicos, pero sí son de muy buena calidad. Una marca reconocida. Tienes varios formatos de medida a elegir y con cantidades diferentes. Cogí estos tornillos para tener por casa, para usar en madera o en algún taco para pared. Perfectos. Estos tornillos tienen una rápida entrada en la madera y no necesitas ejercer mucha presión para que cojan la rosca. La punta del tornillo viene con estrías para disminuir la posibilidad de rotura en la madera Cabeza de tornillo tipo pozidriv que con las puntas específicas, crea una buena mordida y un buen atornillado. PZ2 Si para atornillar usamos cualquier punta que NO sea la adecuada, es más fácil que se melle la cabeza. Así mismo, si con el taladro no ejercemos una presión proporcional a la fuerza de giro, la punta girará sobre la cabeza destrozándola y dejando el tornillo inservible. Estos tornillos tienen buena calidad en general, pero si nosotros hacemos un mal uso, se pueden estropear fácilmente, como todos. Los usé para madera en exterior y expuesto a agua.
