Chechen wood ring

Description

This ring is made of solid chechen wood. Chechen is native to Central America and the Caribbean islands. It has a very distinctive and colorful grain pattern. The lighter wood inside is bent pine veneer. It IS wood and will break, but the inner ring gives it a surprising amount of strength because wood tends to break along the grain. Since the inner ring is circular, force from outside must always go against the grain. It’s not quite size 10 ½ (American). It’s about 7/8 inch (10 mm) wide. It is finished with high gloss polyurethane. This ring is completely handmade, unique and one of a kind. It was made personally by me in my basement shop. It would make a great gift and heirloom for someone special.
