I could easily put 1 gal of yogurt in it
I purchased these to make Greek yogurt, which is created by taking ordinary home-made yogurt and hanging it in some sort of bag so that they whey drains away. This bag holds a gallon of finished, undrained yogurt with room to spare. I could easily put 1.5 gallons of yogurt in it, but I only make it in gallon batches. The bag holds all the curd, lets the whey drain out, leaving me a heavy, thick cream-cheese consistency of yogurt curd. It's really a useful item.UPDATE: After using this for several weeks, I find that the chord in the neck of the bag is so short that it is easy to pull it into the channel that holds it, requiring a tedious effort to fish it out of the channel. So, I've just finished pulling that chord completely out of the channel and adding a completely new and ~much~ longer heavy-twine string into the bag. The bag is great. The original cinching string - not so much. Just go ahead and replace it and save yourself some aggravation.

Great For Straining Nut Milk and Homemade Bone Broth!
These nut milk bags are great quality. I use one for straining my almond milk and the other for straining my homemade bone broth. They rinse easily and have held up very well. I've been using them about 1-2 times a week for about 5 months now and they are just as strong and clean as they were when I first purchased them. The ties at the top are helpful too. I stretch one of the bags around a tea pitcher I have and pull the drawstrings tight then tie it around the handle of the tea pitcher. This allows me to use both of my hands for guiding and pouring because I know the bag will stay in place.I will share a tip though--turn the bag inside out when you use it. The seam is hard to clean so if you turn the bag inside out then the seam is on the outside and nothing gets caught in it. It's MUCH easier to clean that way.

Works well as a hop bag
I bought these to use as hop bags for brewing. Works fine. The top is so wide and both the material and drawstring are so slick that getting a good cinch is a little tricky. On the flip side, the drawstring is so long that I'm able to tie it to the handle on my kettle so I can find the bag easy and keep it from resting on the bottom. Mesh size is good - of course some hop material gets through, but the vast majority stays in. At the time I purchases these they had the best price of the options available, and it turned out to be a good purchase.

good bags
I use these to make ginger tea. I put ginger and other spices in food processor, then transfer it all, enclosed in this bag, to a pot of water. It makes clean up quick and easy. The bags stain, but wash up nicely otherwise. Key for me was being big enough to fit over my pot when filling them with shredded ginger. They do let a bit of sludge get through, when I use ground spices, but otherwise a great buy.

Nice! But....
The fabric was a bit odd. Easy to catch dust that’s in the air. Dirty easy. But otherwise I like it. Filtered out food Pretty well!

I bought these bags and they are super easy to use
These bags are a lifesaver! I have started clean eating and wanted to try making my own almond milk coffee creamer. I bought these bags and they are super easy to use. I soak the almonds overnight, put them in the blender with some water and strain them through the bag into a mason jar. The result is a healthy delicious creamy addition to my coffee. highly recommended!

Easy clean up
Love the fact that clean up with these bags are so much easier than the muslin clothe I had been using. The only downfall is that the weave isn't fine enough so the milk is grainier than with the clothe. I'm even using them doubled and still getting lots of grain.

I love using this
I love using this. I use this primary for making iced coffee. It filters out almost all of the ground beans and while it doesn't go filter out everything, you can barely notice anything else. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to make iced coffee. The only issue is the string to collapse the bag tight can be removed easily so you would have to pay close attention to it.
